This is an awesome tutorial! I accidently used the wrong side of the first chain, but it still turned out awesome. This is the first time I've finished a crochet project and I'm pretty happy about it. I'm using the same yarn that I did to knit a hat, and then I'm going to make a cardigan with the same yarn lol.

Yes, weight 4 is fine. Just use a hook your yarn calls for. Adjust your chain number based on your desire length for each part, which is explained in the video.

Just a tip. Of you don't have stitch markers, you can use safety pins or, you can take a small piece of a different color yarn and put it in the stitch. It might fall out while ur working but if it's long enough you should be good❤
