I think it got a bit uncomfortable under the constant light in the end, it was probably best to end it where i did. Gonna put it in my office under a light with a timer for now and maybe plant it outside next spring.

I love that plants make new leaves and drain the last drop of nutrients from old leaves. that's how they survived, totally gorgeous.

I can't get over how amazing your videos are. The editing is fantastic and the music is so well suited. I also really love the black backdrop, too. I'm always excited whenever I see a new Boxlapse video in my notifications.

I too think he likely takes a picture a day and moves the plants in front of that black background everyday. Because all the pots do need a lot of space and lighting. I like these videos so much.

Way cool. Have you ever tried an almond tree? I have an almond tree and it bears fruit each year. Wondering what it would take to get one to grow from the seed. I imagine it would be much like the cherry tree?

Beautiful! Do you plant the trees outside when they are ready for that, or what do you do with them? :) I read in your description for the video that you plan to perhaps plant this tree outside in the spring, but you've filmed a few different trees over the time I've been following your channel, so I just wondered what's been happening to them all :)

^ The distilled water is so no impurities, as they cause the spray to create droplets instead of coating every leaf. You can use garlic soaked in the distilled water as well, but it's a little unpleasant to smell.

Does the cherry tree which produces cherries is the same as Sakura tree? I have never heard of Japan cherry picking day or something if they have every year Sakura blooming, I’m just confused. Also is it the same with plum and apricot trees?

I didn't think it would take nearly 3 months to sprout from the seeds!
@EarlyMusicDiva
@EarlyMusicDiva 5 ай бұрын
It's because the seed needs to go through "stratification" (a period of exposure to cold, the equivalent of winter) before it can sprout. In nature, that makes sure that the seed sprouts in the spring, when it will (hopefully) have warm weather to grow in its first months. Not all seeds have this built-in need for stratification, but cherries do.

It's probably just water on a paper towel, to keep the seeds moist while they are in the refrigerator experiencing the "winter" that is needed for the seed to be able to sprout.

Why does it take so long for the seeds to sprout??
@Englor1
@Englor1 7 ай бұрын
The seeds have to go through a cold period in order to germinate, this process is called stratification and simulates winter conditions. It is critical for the seed to sprout at the right time as winter weather would easily kill a young seedling if it started growing at the end of the season, so the seeds stay dormant until they go through the cold part of the season, which kickstarts the germination process. Biochemical reactions in low temperatures are slower, thus the sprouting is slow.
