Hey kinda an odd trend that I notice is that KZbin videos tend to change thumbnails. Why is that? For sure after all it's not likely that changing them would boost viewership if the other one didn't work.

It’s just marketing. If a youtuber doesn’t like the performance of a vid, usually a different title/thumb will sell the video better. For this one, it’s underperforming a bit yeah, but the other thumb was a bit messy so I had the artist adjust it a bit and I changed the title to match better. Right now some KZbinrs have access to a/b testing, a system that publishes your video with two different thumbnails to see which gets more clicks and then the higher performing thumbnail becomes the main thumbnail… I’d really like to have that lol
