It took me a while, but a cue that has helped me with all exercises, is to relax any part of the body that is not needed for the exercise am doing. As dumb as it sounds, I have caught myself tensing in places that were only making the exercise harder and am sure others can probably relate

Especially the neck, tension in your neck will create so much restriction in your movement it makes a massive difference when you learn to relax it

The thing I am trying to work out is the height of where the cables are on the machine. eg. you have cables come down from your head height down to your palms. Does it matter how high/low that cable is???

You should have a t-shirt line for each exercise with instructions on. Printed backwards so I can read them in the mirror. Lock on lat. Pop chest. Palms out. Rock through etc. Especially for people like me who can usually remember 2 out of the 5 things I'm supposed to do. OR all of them but not the order. You could print them like the old Frankie Says t-shirts offov the 80's, but with your face at the top as well. 😆

hello Mike, great video, love these “close up” movement videos. could you please do a smith machine extravaganza? elaborate bit on a different grip width, seat angle, position of the seat, like where should the bar be on my body? i’m having hard time hitting on upper pecs there. maybe cause i’m not able to rotate my shoulders properly so even a little angle is too much for me. I just can’t grab the pecs properly there. I didn’t know how close to my chin the bar should be, how flared my elbows should be, if elbows should be vertically parallel to bar or slightly behind or before the bar, Im still lacking the knowledge behind these differences. so i would appreciate some tips for guys like me with rounded posture like boxers and long arms on how to better hit upper pecs on smith and not so much shoulders I’m watching all of your videos. still can’t figure out, how should my elbows be flared and if they should be in parallel with hand or slightly above hand or under. Because i feel like im running to a collision where i have to choose between too flared elbows or elbows not in line with bar (like way under the bar) or bar way under my pecs. I dont know if i have too long forearms or Im just ret8rded.. Thank you in advance Mike. Good luck 👍🏼🖤

Man, we're missing out on so many good looking machines (manufacturers) here in Europe. Is that a Prime Fitness Functional at the beginning? The second one from minute 07:50 looks great too. Anyways, thank you for the amazing input for my next chest session. Keep up the great content, Mike.

Great stuff man , I do those flies all the time meaning the scoop,an set in lat then palm flies! Works great for me and I'm just like u Mike bad shoulders and big naturally also!! So I totally think its great the way u teach/ tell everyone its not how much weight u got on machine or whatever its about the mechanics and tempo of ur lifts and negatives are huge wen tempo is good as long as there's tension and contraction is on point there's nothing better!! Bless🙏💪

I do ''punch'' training on cable, single fist at a time, I wish some of the genetics given to my chest was distributed between my rear delts, biceps, forearms. :) Anyways, good demo again Mike. 👍
