My husbands pulmonologist sent me the link for this video. He was prescribed the accapella device but no one in our city has them or is able to get them. His pulmonolgist recommended that i watch this video and do the CPT for him. Thanks for posting this video as it is informative and helpful.

Such an informative video! Thank you so much for this and the helpful tips for what to do besides percussion was really great for me and my two year old toddler right now. We’re both sick but she seems to have a lot of mucus build up still. She’s 2,7years old. Can I still do this to her or should I alternate somehow? Thanks so much!

I’m not sure why I’m just now seeing this, but I always recommend checking with the pediatrician first. Then, as long as she tolerates it ok, it’s ok to do. I did it to my children when they were young.

Another chest percussion video pls. How much time normally you do chest percussions @Breathe Better with Elizabeth
@@BreatheBetterwithElizabeth My elder sister who is also a teacher always does this on her son. I think her percussions are painful and wrong(You know lady teachers know how to hit😂). She does this with her flat palm. Just like slapping. I showed this video to her. Now she uses her cup palm and hitting nicely.

As long as you start off light and only increase to her toleration, it should be ok to do.

Thank you - very useful. Couples following this procedure would be advised, however, to not do so in the presence of the family dogs as our two Maremma shepherd dogs were really very, very concerned to see me getting a thorough thumping from my darling wife.

Oh no!😂 Now that you mention it, I could see that being an issue!!

Hey can i do it on my seven year old son who has dry cough all the time…and if he cant cough up the mucus what other way can he do to remove the mucus…can he blow his nose to remove mucus?
@BreatheBetterwithElizabeth5 ай бұрын
Yes, you can. If it’s a dry cough, he may not have any mucus to cough up though. Here’s another method to help with mucus: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bF6yh4Z3q8qIl8ksi=m7OBjU-lFcFNzn7v

Hello I’m watching because my 4yr old has congestion. Can I try this on him? And would do it this same way? Or is it different for younger children?
@BreatheBetterwithElizabeth Жыл бұрын
I always recommend asking your pediatrician first. I can say that I did the same on my children.

how do we notice in which part is the mucus? thanks!
@BreatheBetterwithElizabeth2 жыл бұрын
You can try putting your hand over your chest and take slow deep breaths to feel the vibration. Depending on how much mucus you have , you may not be able to tell. In that case, it’s safe to percuss over both of your lungs.
