In this video, we look at the difference in the Trifecta Tune vs Stock. This is a 2012 Cruze with the 1.4 liter with a stock air box and stock engine (besides tune after).

I have found in the 4-5 2012-2015 14.t Cruse i have gotten to beat on you will get shit power if you just plant it to the floor in Auto (all stock dealer cars) Try playing with it some between 80-90% or so you will find a sweet spot where it pulls much better. Paddle and chase the power and its much better, short shift out of first at about 3000-3500 as well the 1-2 shit if shit on most of them. Ours i will get a Trifecta if we don't send it down the road this summer, wife's wants a Trax. 14' LT1 with 135,000km on the chassis, and 40,000km on the engine/turbo 10,000km on the cat. I drive hard most of the time, and downshift 99% of the time. Brakes replaced at 120k, dealer was surprised the lasted that long on an auto.

Crash5291 +1 on the throttle. My 03 Kia (5 speed) gets better acceleration at about 75% throttle then full, I figure it was cause Kia was leaned out to meet emissions and going full throttle basically causes starvation on the stock fuel mapping. My Geo Metro accelerates its hardest at around 40-50% throttle with a physical, almost lurching movement when you transition to full throttle (makes you go "what the fuck?!" just to experience it). Could be TPS related (which the Metro was very picky with) or it could be the fact that I have my engine running like 12 degrees ignition advance (does not ping), idk.

That's definitely true. The car isn't remotely quick in any situation, but there's definitely a sweet spot at about 85% throttle just before the wheels break traction that's the optimal point as far as boost goes.

Either you were pulling a trailer or the Trifecta tune isn't very good. Stock they do 0-60 in 9 seconds. I have the BNR tune with mods and there was a big difference. If you arent gonna do mods, dont waste money on a tune. 🖖

Weird question but does they have an option to regulate the turbo to save some fuel? Coz in my area here its like SF with 70° upps, and the turbo just swallows the fuel pretty rought. Thx ahead

Hey there! So, I personally would because every bolt on or major mod can change the behavior of your car. Just to be safe, you should get another tune to the new parameters. BNR and Trifecta both offer free tunes for certain levels of their products.

I got the $300 tune. I was “stock” at the time I bought it, but now I have a cold air intake. I should pay the extra $100 now to get the Elite so they can tune for my CAI.

I asked them about it, and Trifecta told me I would probably only see single digit gains. Not sure I would pay 100 dollars extra for 5-9 hp though.The only thing that sucks is I dont own a windows 10 laptop and don't have friend or family that have one either. May have to dig around to find a friend with one. TY for you quick reply!!! Here is the reply from them about elite 400 dollar tune just for the air intake alone. Video lines up perfectly look in slow mow 1mph and 4mph line are exactly at the same time then trifecta gets faster

Problem here is stock isn't 11 seconds. It is about 9.3 seconds from 0-100 km/h and even less around 9 secs for 0-60 miles so you were either not pushing on stock test or video is altered. Also the fuel in the car as someone mentioned matters as well. Test has to be performed same place on the road same fuel load and weight. You can easily do it if you do indeed have the trifecta mod by arming and disarming cruise control. Please make a better video next time, this was a waste of time. Personally I wouldn't trust a company without a phone number.

2 seconds is big gain. 2 to 3 tenths of a second for $350 is good much less two seconds. The stock car would be more that 6 or 7 car lenghts behind. In a race one tenth of a second is about a car length.

If it’s 180 at the wheels you should be getting at least 7.5-8 sec 0-60. Not sure what a Cruz weighs but my dart is a pig at 3250 only had 160 stock crank hp and it would do just south of 8 seconds.

Depending on the MY the current gen cruzes curb weight is around 2800 lbs. The last gen Cruze comes in at around 3100 lbs. I can't tell if this is a current gen or a last gen Cruze.

brandon wright it’s my favorite car I have ever owned. And I’ve had some sweet vehicles. I have a mopar13 Dart with a blue stripe. I didn’t buy it with unrealistic expectations of being fast or quick I got it for economy and have gotten up to 43 mpg’s Highway. Then decided to make it a bit quicker with all the bolt ons and then later the tune. Should be north of 230 whp according to the tuners claim. Eurocompulsion was the tuner.
