@@markmartinez5791I spent 2 hours taking apart my door panel and to find out I need a apapter and to cut wiring for the speakers I bought. They were after market. I’ll just pay someone to do it for me cus the plug that goes into the speaker isn’t on my aftermarket one.

I live in portland OR , so that’s a cool shirt haha! I have a ‘14 Malibu; I just bought the kenwood 6.5 door speakers. The front and back door should all be the 6.5 door speakers right

Are all your speakers 6.5. I have a 2014 malibu also and was wondering. Do you have the factory radio or aftermarket? How did they sound if you got them installed?

Sounds right

Can you just take the speaker or do you need the wire that's connected??

So I'm hearing that if you have a stock radio, that aftermarket speakers in the door will sound like sh*t. I don't necessarily want to get gm OE speakers to replace my blown speakers with either. Any suggestions without changing out HU?

as long as you wire it on right, they should sound fine, you could get some JBL or kenwood speakers that fit, the biggest thing is just that the stock stereos are super weak as far as amp power, so they wont be able to really use everything an aftermarket speaker might have to offer sound quality wise
