@@LowLifeYonkes ok after more digging, my issue is rear brakes, to be more specific... The drums. All this master cylinder does is give more feel to the pedal the under lying issue everyone is over looking is the drums themselves. 20+ year old trucks.... It's time to replace the thin worn drums =( expensive but much much needed. So to recap the more beneficial "upgrades" I've done. Abs deletion- do it, the dump valves and abs computers are expensive and the valves cause problems anyways. Nbs master cylinder (questionable) Obs is a little looser, yes; but if it's spongy.... You have other issues. On a side note, it feels more modern with an NBS with more feel in the pedal. I like the shorter pedal distance to brake. It's sorta like driving a tiny car with a super touchy pedal. Older guys may not like a touchy brake pedal though, it's more of a younger guy troup. For anyone following along I can explain the feel using a muscle car. Obs feels like a manual brake in a Plymouth duster. Nbs is like you added a booster with a wilwood prop valve. I've learned allot on my expectation to solving my sponge.... Here's another one guys forgot to do.... GREASE ALL SLIDING PARTS ON YOUR CALIPERS - CLEAN THE SHÍT OUT OF THEM!!!!! But thank God for this KZbinr recommending an alternative to our crapy obs/S10 master cylinder

hi man, how is the pedal feel after the swap? is it too soft? meaning does it bite on the brakes with a little push? would you wish it is a bit more harder? or is it just right? I have a vacuum booster too. this master cylinder you're showing has 1.33" bore size which fits vaccum boosters. just wondering what if I put a 1.45" master cylinder that is usually labeled for hydroboost? the bigger the bore size the harder the pedal feel gets. would you recommend to try it? thx alot for the video!
@LowLifeYonkes2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment and I feel the pedal firm now with less motion to stop witch is like night and day compared the the stock master and I am upgrading the brakes lines just to get it to bite a little more but to answer your question typically smaller bore diameter’s means there’s less fluid for it to travel through and bigger bore diameter’s give you more fluid volume making the pedal softer and less responsive I hope that answers ur question thanks for watching I appreciate

Well... did it work? Did it cure the feeling of stepping on a marshmallow? On mine I believe it is the ABS pump. I've seen a lot of videos where people go ham on masters, calipers, brakes, wheel cylinders all to still have the squishy feeling. The master doesn't drift or "vibrate" when depressing the brake, and the brakes engage and dont pull so its not like its a stuck caliper or wheel cylinder. The only thing left is the pump. At least I hope that is what it is because it cost 100 bucks. lol.
@LowLifeYonkes3 жыл бұрын
Yes it worked for me the brake pedal feels firm and grabs quicker than before no more squishy feeling .... after I was done with the install I had a friend come over and we manually bled the system and the abs unit as well it’s been working great ever since....
