Chevy OBS LS swap begins

Ok guys in this video I will be removing the old 4.3L and 700r4 transmission getting ready for the LS swap. I have a lot of work ahead of me cleaning the frame paint the tubs and getting the suspension ready with new parts. Yea i just finished my 2door tahoe wit a 6.2 ls swap with a stage 3 Texas speed cam. this was my first time doing a swap it wasn't hard as i thought.she a beast now💪

Yea thats the predicament I run into. Even doing things yourself nowadays is insanely expensive still. Days of cheap hotrodding or redoing vehicles are over sadly.

@@adamosborne4053 yes u can use a the Jeep Cherokee steering shaft but I couldn’t find 1 so I went with Cunningham machine

I was going with a 84-94 Jeep steering shaft but I couldn’t fine any at 5 different junkyards so I just ordered one from Cunningham machining it’s a half shaft with a u-joint on end …. Thank you for watching I appreciate it

@@LowLifeYonkes Absolutely! I'll have to look into that steering shaft upgrade. I'm in the process of tearing apart my 89 OBS. About at the same point you are. Got all new front suspension, but didn't think about the steering shaft.

I was just going to either rebuild the 5.7 or buy a new 5.7 and rebuild the transmission

Yes you can it has to be smog legal all stock and u have to take to the state ref. For inspection and they will put a tag on the door that’s says all the information of the vehicle with the LS engine
