Recently I did a vlog where I said I was using a heartrate monitor during my BJJ rolling sessions. And I had several people ask questions about it. So, in this quick video I just share some stuff I'm doing and what I'm looking for with my heartrate monitor when I do Jiu-jitsu.
I was off the mats from normal rolling and training for about a month and so I'm doing this to monitor my training as I'm coming back to normal training after an injury. Consider it a kind of experiment.

I'm trying a few different gadgets out currently. So as I get more info and experience with them I'll share them with you.
It's been interesting to see the results too. Right now, I'm starting to get back into normal shape and I can see that I'm able to push myself harder during rolling while not making my heartrate jump too high. Compared to when I just came back, and my heartrate would rise up much faster.
