I swear you are in my head. Was thinking this morning I want something like this, grab my coffee, sit in front of my computer and BOOM you are demo'ing exactly that. Not the first time this has happened either. Thanks!

I’ve been hitting that arm bar in class quite a bit after seeing your first video on it. It will be nice to add this and mix things up a bit! Thanks Chewy

Love the video series! As always, super helpful stuff. Gotta say at the end of the video I found it difficult to pay attention to what you were saying because I couldn’t stop watching Adam. It looked like he was seeing stars ✨. I suppose that just proves how effective the move is 😁

I've got a question... is it possible to do the paper cutter choke in the nogi setting? I am absolutely loving this series I am starting to focus more on chokes since all my students are so mich smaller than me I want them to have attacks to apply on me that will take me out inbstead of making them try to pull a kimura when I have 180+ lbs on them.

Do you need to make an s grip with your hands for the choke or can you finish it without griping your hands together?

@chewjitsu Thank you for all the excellent videos. I had a question to ask, and am not sure if this is the proper venue. I competed in Houston this weekend (I'm a silly white belt) and ran into a pretty experienced wrestler. To keep it simple, I got dominated (14-2- I took second, but it was a 3 person bracket); my strongest position (half guard) was not particularly strong against him. He's a super nice fellow, we exchanged numbers, etc., I'd still like to beat him. To make things even more interesting, I'll be matched with him Later this month in Orlando, April in Houston, and May in New Orleans. Needless to say, I'm going to have to figure something out if I don't want him mopping the floor with me again. I was curious to hear your thoughts on the best way to approach someone who dominates like that. I'm not sure my question is fully fleshed out, but in a nutshell it's how do I adapt my game to someone who is clearly dominating my current strategy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!

Hey I have this problem in my gym. Whenever me in this specific class mate roles I get him in a submission mostly an ankle bar and when I hear him moan in pain I would let go and he would just attack me and try to get into a submissions. So in the end of the class I went to talk to him about tapping but than he said he'd rather have a good status than tapping. So I went to talk to the coach about it. The coach talked to him but he never tapped. Can you give me some tips to resolve this problem. And by the way I love you content keep it up

In Gi add the paper cutter to the chain of attacks ( Armbar, NS choke & Paper Cutter) Not necessarily in that order. Keep the Vid's Coming.

As a former wrestler I get the North South position from side control most of the time but I train at our Judo Club is when you have your arm in the N S choke position and have hus left arm trapped sitout so your leg is along his left side so you're in a what we call a reverse Kesa Katame, then take right leg and side it across his body and hips up so you're choking and hitting the arm lock, good luck . I think you'll like this double submission from N S position
