Whenever my TKD/HKD master is using me to demonstrate a technique, he will show about 4 different submission options from the position, each one more painful than the last. After about the 4th or 5th one, while he's still got me in the hold, he'll go "oh, sorry", as if he didn't realize how much pain he was causing me. After he finally lets me up, my Dad (a fellow student of mine) will say "I didn't quite catch that, can you show me again?"

Ive been training since i was 32 years old im now 47 going on 48 and a blackbelt. Im at stage where the younger guys are beating me now. Just watching muhammed makes me say damn, what a different level the pros are on. Just a totally different level. Anyone over 40 years old in any combat sport is OLD> These little things allow me to end it quicker without using more energy I dont have. I have a hard time getting out of bed I dont want to use what little energy I have left if I don't need to. Great little add ons.

Ive used the bicep slicer tons of times due to be shit at finishing arm bars, but I never thought to use it when fighting for the kimura. That is some slick stuff there. Loved the video as always.

Bicep slicers hurt like hell. I have had the one from the kimora employed on me many times and I hold out until Im black and blue. All you can hope for is his lower back is weak. Not the pros man.

Excellent. I had this problem in my last roll. I had the perfect set up, but couldn't break his grip. I hurt my own forearm yanking on his arm, and had to surrender the position in the end. I'll remember this for next time. Brutal indeed. Cheers.

8:55 in Hapkido, almost every move I know can be easily countered by applying strength in the opposite direction of the technique. But applying that strength makes it very easy for me to do an opposite move. If I try to go inside and apply a V-lock, and you apply outward strength, I can switch outside and very easily apply an armbar throw. Same thing the other way.

Like the lapel grip… and tight lat close to chest power position… funny thing - is that the opponent always seems to have a weakened grip position. What if the opponent also used the lattismus Dorsi self collar grip control... there’s a great video by firas zahabi on breaking down all the nogi grip variations. But with the gi… it becomes even harder when they can also grip their lapel and lock down a lat grip power hold. Sometimes I wonder why people continually recycle the easiest grip hold variation to break, in content.. and never quite show the monster grip, defence breakdowns most people use when they actually roll.

man, guys, thanks for sharing this. Whenever I get to the armbar position, I sometimes end up crushing my own nuts (yeah I know, I got massive nuts, it runs in the family), I tried this out today, and the amount of pressure you generate on the wrists make anyone tap even before you get to lock it, thanks ! (white belt love )

Cool techniques. One problem. The S grip is so easy to break. When people resist armbars it's generally not that defence they use, you can't access their wrist easily or you can take the arm, when they grab under your hamstring and defend their wrist so you can't crush it, that's when armbars are hard to finish so something from their would be good to learn

is that lock from the arm bar ( the one where you put your feet above the lock ) considered a “crusher” or a “slicer”? and is this legal for lower ranking competition?
