I was at Dumonet's 2 years ago and still to this day remember their epic souffle a-la grand marnier...Truly a classic place! Not the cheapest and not expensive - fair prices and excellent classic French food! :)

By no definition is Chez Dumonet 'off the beaten track.' But if my grandparents were going to Paris, that's where I'd send them. It's delicious enough and they're perfectly polite to tourists.

Yeah seems weird maybe just something they offer. I went in 2018 and we ordered off the menu. We had the bald waiter showed in the beginning. Everything was amazing

Well, like sushi, you really want to go to a reputable establishment for tartar. Raw meats are actually safe to eat if handled properly. You can even make it yourself if you like.

Yes, just like chicken fried steak is 'very American.' Someone in New York might eat chicken fried steak once a year for fun. Parisians might eat here once a year, when their old roommate from from their semester in Ottawa happens to be in town & wants something 'French'...

Hell yeah table side Meatloaf,but seriously my Pallet wouldn't appreciate this food,it just cant.The junk I eat compared to ANY fine Food,but I'd sure as hell pile in there and eat it,it's cool to see these Chefs loose their minds over a misplaced Caper...you know their invested into their Food that's a big part of why I would definitely eat it,just I apologize for a destroyed Pallet.
