The selling of old random family/class/student pictures seems a bit odd to me. That was of course until I saw the (as you called them) stone willies. 😂Some interesting things there as well. I'm scratching my head at what that is @ 14:50? I really like these flea markets.🙏👍😎

Thanks for watching Fred & I am happy to hear you enjoy these videos. When I walked past it, I thought some sort of fruit grinder but thanks to your question I used google to narrow it down. tinyurl.com/2yfqjvs6 shows stock photos labelled "Ancient Herb Mill Roller Grinder Tool For Making Medicine" Thank you very much Fred, I so glad you asked 🙏

@@GoodLifeinChiangMaiThailand Thank you, Ally, for taking the time to look it up. I had no idea how I'd even search for it. After looking at some of the pics in the link you provided I also see the other item that was next to this one. I'd thought that the other item was a grinding stone for sharpening tools. Very interesting. 🙏👍

Nice video of the market. At the 10:00 mark those rocks look like they might be horn coral fossils.

i like your videos. this one was great. you speak Thai quite well and use a lot of good colloquialisms so i think you could also nail the pronunciation of the place names. i found it helps to break down and know what they mean; for example: Chang Phueak / ช้างเผือก = white elephant. (phueak / เผือก , as you probably know, is also the word for taro.) you got this! much respect and good day to you… ✊🙏

Is that a couple of automatic pistols at 01:23, Ali ? Or just replicas ? And what’s this fascination with willies we see everywhere ? Is it a fertility thing ? Great video clip, thanks

Its a superstitious belief and traditionally coming fro Hindu beliefs. They are called Palad Khik and men can wear them for luck & virility where as women can wear them for safety. Basically they are believed to bring good luck. The guns, one set of several at the market were BB guns. Thanks for watching 🥳🙏❤️🇹🇭

There’s a warehouse near Ban Tawai, I think, where they receive shipping containers from Japan with secondhand goods ( some look like third or fourth hand lol)..found a few very interesting items..and..quite popular with Thai people (and a few farang, c’est moi lol) 🙏🏻👍🏻🇹🇭
