The Opening Actually Exists in Re Zero Starting Life in Another World Season 2 Episode 19

At long last we got the Opening Song 4 "Long Shot" in Re Zero Starting Life in Another World Season 2 Episode 19 aka Episode 44. I definitely do think this opening song has a lot of Spoilers unlike the other ones, but visually speaking it represents this current season nicely. Anyways... we get the conclusion to Emilia's past and what actually happened to everyone. I believe many will love to hate Pandora after what she did to Fortuna, Sloth, & Emilia. The Witch of Vanity truly does deserve her title after what we witnessed.

We also now understand why he is the sloth even though in season 1 mf is probably the most energetic guy out there. @@silentlore2458 I think anime skipped that part, so LN spoiler just to be safe. (LN spoiler) During garden tea party Echidna said that the Witch of Envy did destroy half of the world. But... She also said that Satella taking in the Witch Factor and the Witch of Envy destroying half of the world were unrelated - this implies something else caused the Witch of Envy to go berserk. It might have been Pandora; we don't know yet (I have some other theory about that). But it was really the Witch of Envy who destroyed half of the world. You may think that Pandora could just change Echidna's memories, but I think (and it's just my theory) she can't do that. Her powers works only on what did really happen and she witnessed. She can't change anything she was not part of.

@@silentlore2458 I do agree with you. But it's kinda different for me. I kinda thought or theorized that Pandora was actually the one who killed the witches, not Satella. Since Satella is too powerful, Pandora had a hard time killing her, so she just spared her. In return, she kinda altered the memories of the people in that world (since she likes to remove herself from people's memories or alter people's memories in general) and spread that Satella was just an insane person when Pandora was the reason why she went berserk. If you're asking me what made her berserk, I found a fun fact that Typhon and Satella are close friends. So, maybe when Typhon and Satella were just hanging out, Pandora came to kill them, but only ended up killing Typhon. Satella went mad and goes berserk. If you're asking me why I thought that Pandora was the one who killed the witches, let's go talk about Emilia's mom. I saw a tweet from the author that Emilia's mom is a human while the father's an elf. Echidna and Pandora called her, "the witch's daughter" and during Fortuna's final moments, she talked about Emilia's mother becoming *angry* at her since she "failed" to protect Emilia. So I was thinking that Emilia's mother is a witch, and it's the Witch of Wrath, Minerva. Of course, Emilia's parents were dead and were most probably killed by Pandora because Pandora wanted that key (Emilia) while Emilia's parents died protecting her. Maybe she started killing the witches because she kinda lived to her title as the "Witch of Vanity (Vainglory)" which means she kinda envies the other witches (Vainglory is the progenitor of Envy so maybe I was thinking that she envies them) and she wanted to show her pride that she's the witch that should be only feared (ik it kinda sounds or does sound dumb). Going back to her attacking Satella, it's just like how Subaru ruined Reinhard's name and reputation in the "Pride If story" since Pandora had a hard time killing her. But, that's what I have so far. Looking forward to unraveling more of Re: Zero's lore.

This episode was great, as we get to see the rest of Emilia's past: Betelguese's fall from grace, Fortuna's death, Emilia's rage against Pandora for this whole situation, and lastly Elior forest and the residents being in a perpetual frozen state. If i remember right emilia is stronger than roswall. The forest freezing over is the same effect PUCK has when hes in his true form. She can deplete the mana of an entire forest. not even roswall can do that.

According to the author, Emilia has the greatest amount of mana, higher than Roswaal,yes, BUT in overall skill and usage of her power and versatility, knowledge she loses to him. Roswaall is still placed by the author as a 1 magic user (but he said that Puck could win with him,when Emilia did not,so they are kinda equall...)

In the LN she never knew that she was that powerful because pandora erased her memories to keep her from finding out how strong she actually is. She thought her only way to cast magic was through her spirits like puck. Skill and usage is something she will get better at with time. her ability to generate mana is innate and something that cant be strengthened.

I watched the episode, it´s a good episode and it was Pandora! It was Pandora the one who erased the memories of Emilia and changed them, Geuse killed Fortuna mother because Pandora changed what he saw, she has the power to change the reality and the past, she´s very powerful and they battle each other. Geuse got crazy and Pandora changed his memories, he forgot about the love to Emilia and to Fortuna and Pandora says to her that it was because of “Love”. And what is inside the seal? I think it´s Satella, the witch of envy and Emilia is a reincarnation or the body of Satella. I like a lot the opening, it´s very cool, and has lot of rhythm.

pure speculation but I could imagine Pandora could manipulate reality that is desired, she can't force things to happen if it's not wanted, Emilia wanted to do something to save fortuna so pandora gave her a chance to see a key, she didn't want to break her promise so she couldn't force her to use the key, regulus would rather be with his wives than deal with anything so she made it happen, and she doesn't want to die so she would never die, in other words she can manipulate herself freely but others depend on their desires hidden or not that's why everyone sees that they killed her because that's what they want to see but it's not her reality? It's pretty complicated but it has it's own limitations that way she's seen ridiculously OP but there's a catch

I'm not entirely sure if Pandora tricked Geuse, or if it was a bad side effect of taking in the incompatible Authority of Sloth. It would make sense in the moment he use was simply tricked, though if it was the Authorities fault, what Pandora said afterward makes more sense. "This is the inevitable result of your decision" or something amongst those lines.
