Four people are in critical condition, including three who were shot, after a concealed carry holder pulled a gun during an altercation on Chicago's northwest side late Friday night.

In states like this attackers usually assume the victim doesn’t have a gun and it’s good that he did. Some of these gangs have already done their research on the internet to see who has what or they figure out things like a jewelry store owner kept his money in his house, so they rolled in there when he was gone looking all official with their workers vests on and hauled away his giant safe in the evening and of course the neighbors are aghast and tell the same old story, "We live in a safe place and that never happens here." Folks should check out any NRA magazine. Every month they have a column "The Armed Citizen" that lists 5 or 6 incidents of citizens protecting themselves with firearms. The variety of types of incidents is an eye opener. And these are only a few of what takes place nationally.
