What happens when their application is rejected and all this money was already spent to house and feed them. Just seems very backwards. I personally find it interesting how kids have to be fully vaccinated for the safety of the public to attend school and these migrants dont. Teachers already feel overwhelmed. How are they going to deal with this influx and language barriers.They havent even done background checks on them at the border which they should have done before allowing them in. It's true that all migrants are entitled to dignity and respect, but so are native citizens as well. But still, caution has to still be maintained. Many of these migrants are coming from countries where diseases, such as Malaria are rampant; especially in places like South America, for instance. They could also possibly be contributing to sicknesses in an already disease-ridden society; there are tens of thousands of Americans that are sick with COVID-19, and such individuals, if proven to be stricken with diseases common in their places of birth among others disease as well, they could be helping to make a bad situation much worse. This is no doubt among some of the many concerns among Americans, since many of these persons have not been immunized. Another concern is overcrowding; well-to-do neighborhoods that were once quiet, peaceful communities have now become overcrowded with migrants being hauled into nearby, newly-converted shelters, which are often brought into the neighborhood stealthfully, often late at night, when most residents are likely asleep. While not all of them are unruly and disrespectful to the residents already there, some are; some tend to be very unsanitary in their habits, streets once immaculately clean are now filled with garbage and other filth, some residents have even reported seeing certain migrants urinating on the streets in full open view. Some have even been seen smoking marijuana, vaping or drinking beer, throwing their cans and debris on the streets. Others in the communities have been kept up all night, due to the various cacophonies of noises throughout the night, like loud and boisterous talking and loud music playing well into the night. Another matter of high concern is that many of these migrants are not so-called "asylum seekers"; some are, but many are not, many have slipped into the country, sneaking past borders, entering the country illegally, and some are even dangerous and violent criminals and fugitives, mostly men, such as drug dealers, gang members, murderers and rapists. Local residents are understandably concerned because they have elderly parents or children, especially small children and teenaged daughters who may be the victims of such criminals, because some of these shelters, often all-male shelters, are housed near all-girls' Catholic schools, for example. So while people shouldn't generalize and stereotype others solely because of their race and nationality, they also shouldn't be oblivious or gullible to the conditions around them

I personally find it interesting how kids have to be fully vaccinated for the safety of the public to attend school and these migrants dont. Teachers already feel overwhelmed. How are they going to deal with this influx and language barriers.They havent even done background checks on them at the border which they should have done before allowing them in. How we have spent millions of dollars on resources to help them but we cant help our vets or our homeless. How many other migrants have come with nothing and have had to pay for documentation and lawyers with money they earned from WORKING! While these people lay on the streets waiting for their hand outs of free housing, food and a monthly check. My other thing is, do you think it will raise the cost of rent once all these thousands of migrants leave the shelters?? More people, more demand for housing that isnt even really available.

I can't go past two mins. This bih tripping. When I travel around the city no matter the time of the year I see people sleeping outside. They're living at bus stops, in parks, under the expressway on the side of it, under viaducts, and abandoned buildings. I understand the majority of Chicago's Latino community is trying to protect their people but these mofos aren't above our citizens that were already here needing help. Well said! Although they been in America for some years, Pastor Julie Curas, President of the Little Village Community Council Baltazar Enriquez, and Pastor Deina Casas are from south of the border. They can care less about American-born homeless people and vets that are sleeping on the ground and in vehicles whether it’s Chicago, LA, NYC, etc. There are approximately 582,000 Americans that DO NOT have any shelter across this country.
