Gosh, how much I miss this version of Chicago PD, this version of Halstead, this Voight, and this Antonio...This was the golden era of Chicago PD, and all One Chicago shows, really! Nothing against the new casts in each one, but the OGS will always be the best!

This is the REAL Chicago PD we all love and miss! With insane, great action and amazing storylines that made this show so different from other cop shows on TV, and with our beloved original team consisting of Hank, Olinsky, Jay, and Antonio. Back when all these characters were themselves, not changed for the worse as they were, more or less since season 7. Back then the entire team was badass, basically operating more a la black ops, not police. The action scenes were brilliant, the family vibe within the Unit was epic, the team used to go out for beers at Molly's, and the romantic relationships were 1000000 times better written back then! And I miss THIS Halstead! The badass Irish-American veteran with a sarcastic sense of humor, who only butt heads with Voight over Erin, and just at the beginning, but soon was totally on one page with Voight! And just like in these scenes, he loved the adrenaline of being in the Unit and under Voight's command, and doing all these badass, crazy things, as he says here, especially at 3:47. The new showrunners who run the show since season 7 completely changed the whole tone of the show, they made the team less badass, including Voight, but especially what they did to Jay is infuriating - and he was my fav character! They changed him and made him fight with Voight again, and all this because of yet another stupid romantic relationship, which ended in divorce and tears, so they basically changed Halstead for nothing! If the new showrunners and the writers wanted to waste Jay and Hailey's potential so badly from the start, they should have never paired up Jay and Hailey in a romantic sense in the first place, period! But the producers& the writers repeated Jay& Erin's story, breaking Jay and Hailey up in such an ugly fashion, and they made Jay fight with Voight again... It was just such a waste, all this Halstead/Hailey/Voight drama in seasons 7-9. They should have left Hailey and Jay as platonic partners on the job, as they were brilliant together as just partners on the job and sharing platonic love in seasons 5-6! And so they should have left them with this platonic love instead of pushing Jay into a romance with Hailey and as a result, conflict with Voight! The writers should have simply developed Jay and Voight's relationship further, making them closer to each other, not making them fight! They should have made Jay into Voight's right hand in season 7, as they hinted at it already in seasons before, especially in season 6. The finale of season 6, when Ruzek got arrested, was a brilliant opportunity, a brilliant setup to do all of this in season 7! To write a huge crisis of the Unit, to write Ruzek's case getting complicated, Ruzek staying in jail, and as a result, Voight going off the grid, with Halstead taking over, and then going off the grid together with Voight - think about it, this would have been brilliant and fresh! And it would make perfect sense with Jay, as he was the only original team member left next to Hank (after Olinksy's death). Because Ruzek only joined in the pilot while Jay, Erin, and Jules were already working for months in the Unit next to Antonio in the pilot! Jay was also the most senior member of the Unit after Voight, with a detective rank! It was only logical, and it would be actually a very fresh and exciting idea on this show - Voight&Jay getting closer, then going together off the grid and commanding the Unit to get Ruzek out of jail, and then having the whole Unit fighting against powerful enemies in the high places within the police force! Again: Kelton's death in the finale of season 6 set all this up perfectly! But no, instead, they resolved the Ruzek and Kelton cases right away in the premiere of season 7, in a typical, boring way, and proceeded to make the same old cases for the entire season, with the status quo staying unshaken which was literally the least exciting option! And then, to make matters worse, they totally changed the vibe of the show and the characters, because around this exact time, people started to be mad at cop TV shows after Floyd's death and demanded changes, and the new showrunner and the writers caved in! So instead of an exciting, new, fresh idea, we got the most boring resolution of the excellent cliffhanger from the previous season, and then we got the forced police reform theme in the next 3 seasons! And this is why I stopped watching this show regularly in season 10, because they just f0cked up badly, ruined so many characters, and ruined the show! The best seasons will always be seasons 1-6 and the Infection crossover episodes at the start of season 7, after that, it all went downhill!

THIS is the Chicago PD i love. The raids, gun fights, the off book stings, and most importantly a unhinged Voight. I literally gave up on the rest of the seasons even though i stay up to date. I'm purchasing Seasons 1-4 because that is what embodies the best version of the show

Legally? No. Does it actually happen? I wish I could say no to that too. But the reality is that some departments deem it a necessary evil in certain cases. But be sure every one of the officers involved in or having knowledge of a raid like this is putting their badge, career and future on the line.

they literally show her withdrawing, genius. if you actually watched this show, season after season, not just random clips on KZbin, you would be familiar with the character and you would know that. and this show had and still has the best crime/cop experts there are. their executive producers are real Chicago cops familiar with the Chicago crime world, and this show is still the only cop show in the US that has special permission from the Pentagon to use original cops' uniforms and badges! maybe first know facts before writing nonsense.
