We got to see buildings like Marina City, Trump Tower, and Wrigley Building. Architecture river tours are a fun way to take in the sights along the river. If you find yourself here during the summer months kayaking is a popular way to experience the Chicago River. The Crown Fountain is a cool interactive sculpture located in Millennium Park. Art lovers will enjoy the Art Institute of Chicago. Taking in a Chicago Cubs baseball game at Wrigley field is a must for anyone who visits the city. You can't come to Chicago and not eat deep-dish pizza! During our week here we ate at many pizzerias in town including Lou Malnati's, Giordano's, Gino's East Side, and Pizzeria Uno. Formerly known as the Sears Tower, Willis Tower is now the 2nd tallest building in the United States. Many of the buildings at the University of Chicago were designed in the Gothic style.

I love visiting Chicago! I would highly recommend taking a Chicago River architecture boat tour. Wendella Boats has a sunset tour so you can watch the city light up at night. Absolutely beautiful view from Lake Michigan.

During the Worlds Fair of 1893, The Palace of Fine Arts was the only building with brick underneath the plaster. It still stands today as the Museum of Science and Industry. Very cool! I didn't know this until after I visited. If I go back I will definitely have to check it out.

Gregory McKinney it's funny because when I was in CPS, Chicago Public Schools, the one field trip that we would go to the most was MSI (Museum of Science and Industry) and everyone got annoyed of it and wanted to go on a "real" field trip. I didn't complain because the trip there and back gave me a chance to see the awesome architecture of the best city in the world. To you guys as outsiders to Chicago though, it's gonna be fun, but us who went there too many times, it got old.

Samuel & Audrey We had a wonderful time! The city was rife with Blackhawk fever. I knew that they won the Stanley Cup. I was surprised that the celebration was on Thursday! Chicagoans are so fanatical about their sports. I kid not: in the main hall of the Field Museum, there is a statue of a woman holding a child in her right arm and a book in the left. Mind you, this statue is several feet in the air and in a corner. It's on your left, if you're entering and on the right, if you're exiting. They put a Blackhawk jersey on the child!!! I thought two things: who was the genius that suggested the idea and who approved it?! They even put a Blackhawk banner in the mouth of a Pterodactyl!
