Learned my chicken soup from my Mom. I use same ingredients you have, just different order. I get a roast chicken flavor by browning the chicken thighs first. Then I add the vegetables, broth and seasoning. Use a little oregano and parsley as well as those you used. I make a huge pot so I can freeze some in small containers for quick lunches throughout the cold months. It simmers at least two hours. Then I add a large bag of frozen mixed vegetables. Mom always cooked the pasta separately. When serving, she put a ladle of pasta then added the soup on top. Leftovers are put in containers. I cook the pasta separately because you don’t want to refrigerate or freeze pasta in the soup. It gets too mushy. Lastly, when serving, we add a sprinkle of grated Romano or Parmesan cheese on top. We are Italian. That’s very traditional to just have a small grater and a chunk of cheese on the table to freshly add. Totally optional. As long as you like what you put in the pot, there are no wrong ingredients. Chicken soup is the ultimate comfort food. Your tender care to the ingredients and process of cooking brings warm comforting memories. Thank you.

Great tips on chicken noodle soup. I have used celery salt or celery seed when dealing with the picky eaters who don't like celery. I do prefer the chopped celery and onions. I also put parsley as well. The broth from the chicken absolutely helps the sickness go away. Nothing like hot soup in winter. Hope all around you are doing well. Our Temps here in PA went from 15 last weekend to 65 today. Crazy weather. Take care.

Soup is like meatloaf, there are probably as many ways to cook it as there are people who make it. This one looks good! I half-cook the carrots in the microwave before adding, and I boil the noodles separately, but the ingredients and method you show here will give you a delicious pot of chicken soup, every time.

I absolutely love the winter time. It always surprises me when people don't like it like I do. I love being bundled up, snuggling with hubby, turning on the fireplace (wish I had a wood burning one, but i don't ), being all toasty warm...... I do also love spring when all the beautiful flowers start budding and blooming , the tree's start budding and that little bit of warmth with the delicious sun comes out. I do love that also.... Thank you hon for always reminding us and reading us God's word. Job 37:5-6 - God Humbles Us Through Wintery Weather God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; He does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’ So that everyone he has made may know His work, He stops all people from their labor. - Job 37:5-6

Video reminded me I've been meaning to make some chicken soup for a while. I'll make a big batch without the noodles then freeze it in serving size packages. After watching I went and took the chicken pieces out of the freezer, soup tomorrow. Food is expensive here, I looked at one of those roasted chickens today, they wanted between $15 and $17 for one. Did find a 6.8 lb. ham for $24 though, sliced it in thin slices vacuum packed them 6 - 8 slices per package and froze them. Should last close to a year. Thanks for posting this one, I've got chicken pieces that have been vacuum packed and frozen for several years, still perfectly fine but this is a good way to use the older ones.

I can't wait to try this soup! I love soups, especially in the winter. It's January 30th today, so in upstate New York, it is definitely winter.🥰 If you're wondering what video to make someday, it would really help me a lot if you could do one on the correct way to prepare Celery. I remember my mom washing them and taking some tough strings out of the celery stock, but I never really paid much attention how she did it. She passed away when I was 19, and I was married at 16 and dealing with my own children. I wish I would've paid so much more time talking to her and learning, but I didn't, and it's way too late now as I'm 66 1/2 now. Thank you so much for all your videos! I enjoy them very much. 🥰

Ok, my cheat on spices is boiling chicken in ramen noodle spice packets (I put the dry noodles in a bag for later) but wether it's chicken and dumpling or chicken soup, it's the bee's knees. I'm sure I can replicate it w some dry onion dry garlic n ginger green onion and chicken broth but I'll sacrifice those seasoning packets and use the noodles later with my own broth for quickness
