What do you put in the bottom of your coop (I normally use straw but it gets expensive and dusty)? How long do the nesting pads last? I love this idea! Great job!

Love the DIY projects. I buy the 70% off lumbar at home depot that has defects to save $$$ too since lumbar is so expensive right now ;) like you said the chickens won't mind!

This was very helpful as i need to build some of my girls a nesting box as my bully won’t let them in the nesting box area! Also I am getting a new chicken pen with a roof as we have two escape artists! Do you have any tips on how to transition my girls into the new area?

Thank you! It would probably be best to add them at night and just place them on the roost bars to lower their stress. Chickens don’t like change but they will get used to it and adapt very well. They could take a break from laying eggs from the move because they stop laying from stress very easily. Besides that just keep them entertained with healthy treats and perches and things to scratch and do. Dust bathes available

What are the symptoms, is there swelling? can he walk or does it seem to be paralysis? Is it limp or can he put any weight on foot. There can be many things causing this there are different treatments
