This recipe is so delicious and great family home cooked meal, serve with mash potatoes, Carrot and Green BeansFill you Boots great fillings you can be versatile with your fillings too. This Full Flavour Pie is a hit for the family Here is the List of ingredients below:
you will need
22cm enamel pie dish
Short Crust Pastry
Vegetable oil
4 large chicken Fillets or left over Turkey
10 Rashers of Smokey Bacon
300g Chestnut Mushrooms
2 Leeks
60g Butter
30g plain Flour
300ml Boiling water or 150ml water 150ml milk
1 chicken stock cube
2 tbsp chopped flat leaf parsley
2 tbsp Crème Fraìche
Pepper to season

Would the base of the pie not need to be blind baked to ensure the bottom doesn't become soggy?

Aslong as your pie ingredients have cooled this should reduce the soggy bottom 🙂

That roux is way too thick but otherwise a good recipe
