I must say this is the only chicken and leek pie recipe I know. I don’t need another one. Ive also never made it with any other herb than tarragon and it’s soo good. If I don’t have fresh tarragon I always have dried. Also I use organic apple cider vinegar instead of wine, works well. Love this recipe

I like to pull my chicken for pies - so good - fry 2 secs either side with salt and pepper - mug of chicken stock put lid on - pull with 2 forks when the chickens cooked :)

Durban Curry / Bunny Chow has been on the list for ages, just need to get round to doing it! Weather in London is perfect for it too! My fave SA recipe to make is probably Malva Pudding!

I would have cut the chicken into strips rather than chunks and fried on a higher heat for a little more caramelisation , other than that it looks great!

I have made this delicious pie with both chicken breasts and chicken thighs and imo, chicken thighs are a winner in terms of taste and texture overall. The thighs came out more succulent, soft and juicy, but the breast pieces were quite dry.
