Hi! I hope you are having an awesome day! I sewed and filmed for KZbin, shopped for the Easter egg hunt and now I get to sit and watch your video with my hand quilting! I hope you have a fabulous week ahead! Thank you for sharing your video, your time and expertise.

I wanted to make the Chicken Salad quilt, too. However, I have two Lori Holt quilts in progress & opted not to start another one till I get some of my other quilts quilted. I notice that you have been using Lori Holt fabric in your Vintage Block series. Love your videos! I am a free motion quilter and get so much inspiration from you. Thanks for all the videos!

Very cute chickens. Your blocks turned out great!! Too many little pieces for my not so nimble fingers. Years ago, I would have tackled it with ease. 🐓

Those chickens are so cute. I hope you show us how you're going to quilt it.

Hi Susan ,just wondering if you could do a video on how to make the foam core board ,I love the way you explain everything so well on the chicken quilt thank you so much

Thank you for such a good video. I was hoping you would move on to the machine applique process since that is the skill I need to learn more about. Once you've pieced one of these chicken blocks, and they are adorable, you know how to do all of them. There was no extra advice for applique on the sew along site so I've struggled with the feet, especially. I watched a previous applique video but would have liked more instruction for this project in particular.

I didn't post anything on embroidering the blocks, but I do have a video on machine embroidery for the Christmas Basket quilt. It is basically the same techniques and you can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5DHm6djrddsoZY

@@sunrisequiltstudio Thank you for your response and I did watch your video. Just a lovely Christmas quilt block. For the chicken quilt I used a small zigzag stitch but found I had trouble with all those small chicken feet pieces and the residual hardened glue underneath. Some places certainly have a lot of thickness, and the smaller scalloped edges are a challenge.

@@joanmelton793 The chicken feet were a challenge for me too. I think it would have been easier if they were fusible.

@@sunrisequiltstudio I am saving my leftover pieces of the chicken fabrics but would like to find a home for the kitchen collection. Do you know someone who would like to have them? I'd be happy to send them.

Well this was a surprise to see. Very cute and somewhat playful and I love the chickens. Now I have to ask, I’ve done your Christmas houses where you used Steam -Seam 2, how do you like this method of using glue as oppose to using your method? Thanks for sharing and look forward to the end results. 👍❤️😊

I prefer the Steam a Seam 2 for most projects - as long as they aren't in a project that is going to be laundered. So for art quilts, wall hangings, etc., I prefer the Steam a Seam 2. The interfacing/glue method I prefer for projects that will be laundered at some point such as bed quilts, table runners, placemats, etc. However, I have made several table runners and placemats with Steam a Seam 2. I think it is faster.

Quilt “along should be free” after all it’s an along series. That’s why I don’t like her stuff. She is all about money! You know of all people how much work goes into a video and building a block.

I totally agree. Glad I’m not alone in this opinion
