I found and shared this channel with a good friend of mine, who through the comings and goings of life, I fell out of touch with for a couple years. Hit him up when Daddy Jack passed away and it kind of sparked our relationship again. That friend suddenly passed 2 years ago and these videos always remind me of him and what we shared. R.I.P. Daddy Jack and Daniel, one of the best friends anyone could have.

Here in England we have some of the world's great cooks. Marco Pierre White for me was number 1. From Marco many followed him and opened expensive restaurants. Your Jack Chaplin is up there at the top and I love his vlogs and style of cooking. Very sadly missed is you Jack. Rip big man cooking for God now😢

There’s something beautiful and comforting about these videos. They aren’t filmed perfectly, they aren’t edited really at all, and Jack does everything by feel. It’s really amazing stuff to watch, no matter if you’re hungry or not (and if you aren’t you will be). Thanks Jack RIP Jack Chaplin. Of all the chefs on KZbin, you always cooked with the most heart. You will be missed sir.

Sorry to hear about your dad Paul. Did he play any instruments? Or enjoy listening to music? My grandmother in law who didn't remember anything recent and usually thought she was 40 never had the opportunity to play the piano for years until at a family reunion there was a piano in the room and she played a bunch of songs from memory, it was the happiest I had ever seen her. I wished we had gotten her a keyboard for her room to be able to play I think she would have loved it. My grandpa also enjoyed listening to music pretty well all day, he wasn't as bad off but couldn't remember anything recent. Anyways if you look into music and it's effects on people with Alzheimer's there is some cool videos and info out there, maybe it could help your father even just a bit. God Bless

I NEED to make this... My mom never made this, but we had a great cook in one of my Jr High Schools that made a fantastic version.

though he was cutting those vegetables with a tiny knife, turns out he just has huge hands.

Aksel Hanssen it is actually a smaller knife. It’s a 6” instead of the traditional 8” chefs knife. The 6” is a work horse and is very common in a professional kitchen.

@@mikeyb4704 I know that, but in the video it looks like he is using a paring knife. :) The dude just has so big hands that it dwarfs a 6" knife.

@@mikeyb4704 I only used two knifes, filleting knife and 10 inch kitchen knife, victorinox sharpen up very nicely. That being said, we had quite large chopping boards, i imaging a smaller knife would make more sense when your board is that small

Harey, Glad the recipes work for you! Study hard and learn your trade. I lived on Chicken wings when I was a starving student, they were cheap back then. Best To You and The UK, Jack
