I have a 1939 chickering and sons. It's been restored but needs new shanks and hammers. Probably a worthy investment. Wish I had a dual lid prop on mine though.

Chickering Pianos are highly underrated. Their quality is on par with Steinway and usually sell for a fraction of the cost. I have a restored model 109c 6' 3" and I prefer it over any grand piano today. The scale design and extra wide soundboard make the tone so full of life.
