YOOOO! I love this game! Music by Lena Raine, who composed for Celeste and Minecraft. Game by Greg Lovanov, who did Wandersong before this. Fun concept, great execution. I always thought that it would be perfect for a Switch release, and I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t to check it out.

@@jaredknight8838 it’s what sold me on this game and while I think Miriam is still Greg’s strongest character I adore both the drawdog and the titular chicory and their relationship. This game also has a lot of memorable side characters as well.

Hi. Please play this. It’s a fantastic zelda like puzzle game with a super charming world, story, and very fun painting mechanics. The music is also incredible at many times being Lena’s best work up there with Celeste and her minecraft pieces. The game is also quite lengthy too with hundreds of items to collect, a handful of bosses and side quests, and 10 main chapters.

Don't sleep on Chicory. It's made by a developper from the game "Celeste". Also the soundtrack is composed by Lena Raine (Celeste, Minecraft, etc). The story is really good and can be emotional. Some Zelda/metroidvania element (you have to acquire new brush skills to overcome some obstacles and puzzle). The game have optional content (side quest, collectibles, etc) Also the game have some dungeons with boss fight. But what I really like the most it's the characters and writting. 😁

I don't think that any developers from Celeste made this game. The creator behind Celeste they are referring to is Lena Raine (who is awesome BTW)

@@jgodden8022 If I'm not wrong, Greg Lobanov (the devs of Wandersong and Chicory) have also worked on Celeste. Not as a director, producer, etc. But he have worked on it ? Edit: "Writing Assistance", yes finally he didn't have worked a lot on it lol, sorry. But he was still really close with the Celeste Team.

You have a lot of choices. Motion control with the joycons in your hand, touch pad in handheld mode, and normal control with a controller. Also they add HD Rumble in the game, so each painting sounds different. :)

I didn't realize Chicory was coming out on Switch, but I got the PC version recently. Even if I don't play the Switch version, you should all still play it. It's really nice and it's fun to play.

10/10 game. Me and my friend had so much fun playin it together in co-op and I loooove coloring every lil area and makin it funky. And the npcs in the game are soo cute too. Heavily recommended would probably play again to color it differently too

This reminds me of Splatoon, only without the guns, but it has the brush for painting trails to swim through. If the main character were in Splatoon, he would be a great match.

I didn't really have a GOTY, until I played Chicory just recently. Please, if this looks interesting to you, give it a go. You won't be disappointed. This game is way too overlooked and needs more people talking about it... This digital coloring book has creative and fun gameplay, lots to explore, an amazing soundtrack and wonderful characters with a beautiful story. As a former artist, I was honestly shocked how much I could relate and was moved to tears several times.

Just finished this game. it's truly a masterpiece in my eyes. Beautiful storytelling, incredibly fun with great writing and world design and so moving as well. I played the version on steam and i gotta say I recommend that. It might be tricky doing precise strokes with a controller but I haven't played the switch version so I'm not sure. 10/10 game

I’m really sad- this game looks like it’s a beautiful experience, but I’m sensitive to certain stark color (or lack of color) patterns, including alternating black and white. I had a hard time watching through the entire trailer without feeling the need to look away. I don’t suppose there’s any chance the game has saturation settings?

if it helps, there's a screen warmth section that can tint the screen orange! you can also fill the screen with color relatively easily with the painting mechanic.
