It is not a public temple. The Collector of the District had already declared that the temple was built by the Dikshidas. The kings and other persons have donated funds for expanding the temples all these years. Secondly, due to Aani Thirumanjanam, the main diety will come out of the sanctum sanctoram for four days. Therefore there is no meaning to allow public to climb Chithsabai for dharshan when there is no God idol at all.. It is a clear politics. The Government induce public to create problems in the smooth functioning of the temple. All Hindus should unite and save the temple. This is the only temple where there is no entry ticket, special dharshan, special pooja tickets. VIP dharshan, etc. etc.

I’m from Chidambaram, till today there is no queue to workship which is good and unseen in other big temples. Not sure what will happen if this temple goes under govt control. I personally support not allowing ppl to kanagasabai (pay and Workship the god closer) cuz it will give good view for general ppl to workshop without any disturbance.

Kanakasabha Special Darshan ticket is a wet dream of DMK,... Even if people are allowed to worship there through HRCE transfer of the temple, pilgrims must stop to dream that it will be free and open to accede. The tiny configuration of that area will please the HRCE, which will make a special queue and darshan ticketing for it. It's a golden opportunity for them,...

Temples are public property. Despite that paarpanars are controlling the temples and are not allowing the government to takeover. Who are these Dheekshithars and what right they got on the temples? Who are these people to contruct laws and ways & means for worshiping. All temples should be liberated which will enable to prevent misuse of temple properties and revenues. Devotees should not encourage Dheekshithars by giving inaam.

The government (regardless who is in power) has no right in interfering in the working of a temple. There's a supreme court directive on this. The temple has submitted all records and the government has not found any discrepancies as per the minister's claims. It is the government who is in the wrong here...So, where is this a caste issue? This temple is originally said to be that of Jain temple. It is said that "Chidambara rahasiyam" is nothing but an empty room without an idol as is normal in temples. Empty "Karpagruham" is the custom in Jainism. India is a secular country & castesism is unlawful as per constitution. Law is observed more in breaches on the ground. But caste still remains within temples. In some temples for SC/ST are banned by caste Hindus. All other castes except brahmin priests are not allowed in Karpagraham & also as priests in all temples, which attract devotees & earn big income by way of donation from them. Now other castes members well versed in agamas are legally permitted to perform the duties of poojas & other rituals, but hardly could it be implemented on the ground due to stiff resistance from brahmin priests. Chidambaram Natarajar temple is altogether an unbelievably complicated issue. The " Podu Dikshidars" claim hereditary right over this temple due to their contentious claim of their lineage from God Lord Shiva himself. It defies one's common sense. Podhu dikhshidars' contol of this temple is legally confirmed by Supreme court with certain riders. Whenever the state enforces them eg. auditing, problem is said to be created by the dikshithars, as per minister S.K Sekar babu. It reminds one of the dictum that all are equal but some are more equal. All castes are different. Some are more different.

Rebuttal: The room is empty because Chidambaram is one of the temples representing the five elements (earth, fire etc.). Chidambaram temple represents Akasha = Space; thus it is empty. I do not know from where he drags the Jainism ownership. So what is Marimuthu's point? Should Jains in addition to HR&CE start claiming ownership? People, perhaps even Mr. Marimuthu, proudly proclaim their own castes in their certificates so as to obtain special privileges from the community and quotas from the government. SC/STs are never banned from Chidambaram temple. However, many temples under HR&CE routinely barr SC/ST's. Recently in one Draupadhi Amman temple. HR&CE lamely locked the temple, instead of punishing the miscreants (non brahmins) who prevented Parayar's from entering the temple. Claim: All other castes except brahmin priests are not allowed in Karpagraham & also as priests in all temples, which attract devotees & earn big income by way of donation from them. sanctorum. Priests, by far are the poorest among the people. They study and practice for years to serve their deity. Are Mr. Marimuthu or his offsprings have some desire to become priests? I guess not. To become rich you put a Hundi in the temple and charge the devotees for darshan as HR&CE does. incidentally there are no hundies nor darshan charges in Chidambaram. Unlike HR&CE temples, God is free to devotees in Chidambaram Claim: Now other castes members well versed in agamas are legally permitted to perform the duties of poojas & other rituals, but hardly it could be implemented on the ground due to stiff resistance from brahmin priests. Truth: Nobody who are just well versed in Agamas are legally permitted to perform the duties. If somebody is well versed in agamas, they would automatically know who should perform what. "Fools rush where angels are afraid to tread". Claim: Chidambaram Natarajar temple is altogether an unbelievably complicated issue. The " Podu Dikshidars" claim hereditary right over this temple due to their contentious claim of their lineage from God Lord Shiva himself. Truth: For a change, here Mr.Marimuthu is almost right. Yes, the case is complicated - mainly due the dunces themselves. Mr. Marimuthu can go and challenge the Dikshithar's on their beliefs. He will lose. Claim: It defies one's common sense. Podhu dikhshidars' control of this temple is legally confirmed by Supreme court with certain riders. Whenever the state enforces them eg. auditing of temples income & assets etc..problem is created by the dikshithars. They don't submit to the state. Truth: HR&CE act was originally enacted by East India tea company in 1700s to usurp the riches of the temples that continues to date by various parties including BJP. TN HR&CE is trying to occupy the Chidambaram temple for more than hundred years under various nefarious schemes. Finally in 2014 Indian Supreme court ruled that Dikshitahrs must manage their temple without HR&CE trying to assume control. For TN HR&CE the well run Chidambaram temple poses not only a potential revenue loss but a challenge to their hegemony. As usual BBC and Dravida Kunjus like Prof.Marimuthu and Minister Seyal Babu are more than willing to impart their good deeds. May god bless them - appropriately. Claim: It reminds one of the dictum that all are equal but some are more equal. All castes are different. Some are different & also beyond the law. (This statement is a non-sequitur because the highest court of the land has been protecting the temple - thanks to people like Dr. Subramanian Swamy and Mr. Suresh)

Can we afford to believe such stories as some 3000 Dikshidans came from Himalayas and one of them was Shiva? Nonsense. How can somebody tell such a myth and the court takes cognisance of such lies without any proof? The temple was built by several kings over a period of time as per records. So it was built with public money, not with fucking Dikshidans' money. And a public temple should be under the control of the public only, not of a particular clan with some fancy stories. If 3000 came those days for maintaining the temple with much less population, with the temple being bigger and population higher, why are there only 450 dikshidans? Finally, with all these controversies going on, why can't all Powerful nataraj appear in the court of law and settle things once and for all? After all, he would have come if he is there.
