As an operational engineer and other things. Scotty is the expertise we strive all our careers for. Everything is not all right, but, everything is going to be okay. God Bless.

Scotty: Diplomats.... the best diplomat I know is a fully activated phaser bank." Bones: "Well Scotty, now you've done it." Scotty: I...the haggis is in the fire for sure." Freaking Scotty is the bomb when ever in command. *Who also keeps green liquor in his quarters for very special occasions.

I was always more comfortable when Mr. Scott was in command of the Enterprise somehow.

I remember seeing "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" on it's very first night in theaters. That was the only time that I had ever been to a motion picture on it's opening day. At the end of the movie while the credits (and autographs) were rolling, Scotty (James Doohan) got the only standing ovation. I have always wondered if it was because this was a college town, and I was in the audience with other college students and Trekkies, or did that also happen all over the country, and/or world.

*At **3:00** into the video, the actor sitting at the forward control console is the same actor who played the crippled "Captain Christopher Pike" - (who was seated in the futuristic wheelchair) - who could only beep 'yes' or 'no' in response to questions. The uninjured Captain Pike was played by actor Jeffrey Hunter.* 🪐💫

Thank you SilberPfeil666 - Scotty was always my favorite as a kid. Maybe as an adult too.

I love it when Fox said, "I want you to obey my lawful orders." I'm thinking, "Then issue some, you idiot. An order to lower the screens is not a lawful order under the circumstances."

Got to talk to him on the phone. He was an amazing awesome man. Rest well Jimmy...thanks much for the memories. We miss you.

Fun Fact Scotty only has 3 fingers on his right hand. It's really rare to see his whole right hand without anything covering it in the show but you can see it pretty well at 3:16 when he's leaning on the control panel.

Apart from Kirk, my favorite person to be in charge of the Enterprise is Scotty.

Want more of Doohan's range? Check out The Animated Series (TAS). Just about every other voice is his. He also dubbed some on TOS.
