Firstly, this is a review made right after the release and he tries to not give spoilers. Im addressing his comment that the strength possessed by the doll makes more sense, to him, coming from a supernatural cause rather than a mechanical. I said that it makes more sense to me the other way. There are hydraulics used in things other and smaller than presses and to make a robotic joint move that would be a plausible component. Even without a hydraulic though, its easy to give an example of being nicked or pinched my a mechanical device to know that machinery, even small parts, can damage human tissue easily, or require more force than you would expect to pry or move if met with resistance.

At least better than what Mancini did with Child's Play 3 and forward. He was pushing it with Child's Play 2 and then it all got stupid after that one. Chucky movies are like most other horror franchises like Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th. Good and original ideas and then a ton of sequels drove it all to the ground. The only horror franchises that did sequels justice were Sleepaway Camp and Candyman. Sleepaway Camp 2 was actually better than the original. Even the subpar Sleepaway Camp 3 was just subpar and wasn't a trainwreck. Candyman 2 and Candyman 3 actually kept expanding on the story in a good way.

I have to agree with AJ, The OG movie FELT like a, "Terrifying killing "Joker" style doll is trying to slash my ankle tendons and now i can't have furniture with gaps and room underneath beds and closets now" Kinda feeling ... THATS what made it great, the character of not only Chucky and his purpose/endgame he is trying to accomplish, but also the feel of the movie.

I didn't like that the disgruntled employee had removed the "limiter". Its still a doll so this Chucky should still be floppy like a plush animal and shouldn't be solid as if he had muscles and a skeleton.

The new film had some interesting ideas, but a shitty execution. The idea of a friendly AI observing human behavior and learning from it, only to slowly become a sadistic serial killer could have been amazing and in of itself be a clever social satire. But it took the easy route with it's cheap plot, Cucky's dumb motives, tropes of the Goonies/Stranger Things. It played it too safe.

As a horror movie remake, it is great. Especially in comparison to Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween. It does things differently and isn’t just a copy paste reboot like any other one. Honestly don’t know what Joe was expecting with this one haha. Not saying it’s a perfect movie or anything, but it’s definitely enjoyable. As a long time fan of the series, I dug it. Especially knowing that we aren’t done with the Douriff movies.

I loved the film, I liked how you feel sympathetic for chucky because he’s just trying to be Andy’s best friend and because of what Andy and his friends watch and say all chucky is trying to do is making Andy happy by doing what makes Andy laugh and smile. 4/5 I prefer the old look of chucky but the relationship between Andy and chucky in this one is more emotional and has a bigger payoff

Major triple A games, from what has been going on it doesn’t seem like much, he did cover E3 but obviously he can’t cover every indie game, and an Angry Review takes a lot of time and editing so for these more minor games it makes sense to release these rapid reviews.
