People hate on him just because he's one of the few rappers that are proud to say that he picks up a book to read every now and again lol

I read that it was the racist opposition to Donald playing Spiderman that led to his Childish Gambino alter-ego becoming who he is- he said it made him mad that so few people seemed to believe that there were black kids like Peter Parker out there, so he emphasized his nerdiness and alienation in his music and the results were a lot of fucking great songs that we all know and love today.

@jamesandjackproducts also. pretty lame that he was basically gifted a life in the music industry due to his adoptive father. i can see where casper is coming from in some ways. knowing how donald came through makes his music more relate-able in a lot of ways, mostly because i watch alot of tv and want to make it in music. i don't rap or anything like that, but i like a lot of it

@jamesandjackproducts i can accept your opinion. in fact it doesn't really matter to me, because well.. why would it? but wayne for me is all over the fucking map and rarely raps coherently. really the dealbreaker for me is that he raps about being hard as all fuck and swinging his guns that he shot his own body with. i'm not hating on wayne, i'll be honest, i don't like him. but some of his songs (and raps) are dope. mostly it's his voice and generic attitude that i can't do.
