About Pai:
Pailin “Pai” Chongchitnant is the author of the Hot Thai Kitchen cookbook, co-host of a Canadian TV series One World Kitchen on Gusto TV, and creator and host of the KZbin channel Pailin's Kitchen.
Pai was born and raised in southern Thailand where she spent much of her "playtime" in the kitchen. She traveled to Canada to study Nutritional Sciences at the University of British Columbia, and was later trained as a chef at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in San Francisco.
After working in both Western and Thai professional kitchens, she decided that her passion really lies in educating and empowering others to cook at home via KZbin videos, her cookbook, and cooking classes. She currently lives in Vancouver, and goes to Thailand every year to visit her family. Visit her at hot-thai-kitchen.com

Thank you for this recipe I tried it last night, I wish I could show you the picture. Has to be one of my favourite ❤️ I'm vegan so I used aquafaba (chickpea water) instead of egg as a binding ingredient.

I use corn starch for the crunch instead of egg wash just to make this a perfect Vegan snack :)

It’s about cooking and she explaining what goes on and how you can make it. How much effort goes into a 11 minutes clip, beside a few of editing and another 6 hours of rendering it takes about 2-3 days to up load. Sometimes take a few try’s as utube servers are busy. If you want excitement go and watch kids fall on their heads. That excitement.

Very similar to what they sell at the night markets in Taiwan. Two suggestions: add MSG to your salt mixture, and fry some Thai basil and toss at the end with the tofu as well.

I always use extra firm tofu. It's such a difference from 35 years ago when I first tasted it and it was silken. When I make hors d'oeuvres, I use a little melon ball scooper to get as many as I can then I use the Tofu for other things. I love your show love your recipes and your energy. I'd like a type of dip for versatility

So I just made this...IT WAS TOTALLY DELICIOUS!!! Thanks for an amazing recipe, it is addictive. I can’t believe how so few ingredients transformed Tofu. I’m a “Spice-a-Holic”, so I amped up the Pepper Factor...Habanero, Serrano and Jalapeño. I also added in some roasted garlic that I had made along with the mix. Overall, this was a delicious appetizer and/or dinner. Thanks again!!

I usually coated the tofu with all purposes flour and tapioca or maizena ( whichever available) and no eggs.
