So I went online and did the whole declaration thing thinking that that would be the end of it, and the BBC and I would effectively part ways...forever... Nope - right at the end of the process you get a popup to say that they will check again in a year's time to make sure I haven't changed my mind.. Today is the18th of November. I started watching this video when the postman came. He delivered a TV licence letter to the Legal Occupier! 😂😂 I laughed as I was watching this vid and a letter came from them! I haven't had a licence for the last 10 years and never will again. Chilli, you've just given me a brain wave about what to do with the empty wall space where my TV use to hang. I'm going to make a crime scene investigation wall flow chart with all those letters they have sent out over the past 3 years. 😎 At the centre on the chart will be the main suspect in this crime, a picture of the ''BBC Director General'' Then flowing out from the centre in all directions linking one to another will be the various harassment letters, along with house visits and fine rates. top left will be red letters radiating around with bits of string to brown, white and off-colour envelopes. Also highlighted in bright colour bubble format will be dates sent, date of visit and how many threatening words use in each letter. Finally at the bottom of the crime flow wall chart resting on the shelf for the discarded TV remote will be my wine cooler which once sat on top of all these letters, so now the bottle of wine is even closer to my pouring arm.🍷 Oh no, I just had a thought, those goons who turned up in my dream 6 days ago which I locked down in my bunker are still down there, Hope they haven't drunk all my wine. 😱

The thing that makes me laugh the most is that whatever method you use to watch a TV programme is going to be the same whether you watch it live or you watch it on catch-up. Absolutely no need for a licence at all. Most people don't watch TV live any more anyway. The only difference being watching it live or watching it by catch-up except you'd be getting the content in the exact same way. The TV Licence is not worth the paper it's printed on any more. Even more so because such a large amount of the licence fee goes to paying for all the idiotic, intimidating letters they send out to everyone. This needs to stop now.

I believe TV licensing probably do know your name. I think the reason they don't put your name on the letter is so they can't be taken to court for harassment. Maybe if they name you personally they can be done for harassment.

They do send the letters out with the last known name at the address that had a licence, eventually they use 'the occupier' if after a few months they get no reply, or if the letters go back with 'gone away' on it, nothing to do with legal reasons.

After my wife died I returned all TV licence letters as, addressed is now deceased they then stated sending letters addressed to Mrs Deceased as she was the only one who watched the crap I cancelled the direct debit which she had set up to pay for it and filled in the declaration at TV licensing after which they informed me that it appears you do not require a licence and issued a partial REFUND . I thought it was great, but then 1 week later I had the one saying I'm down for a visit 2 weeks later i found a calling card from tv licencing goon they had called but i wasn't in but it included a direct debit instruction . It was consigned to the bin as will any more that come from the government propaganda politt bureau

I had a running battle with the TV licensing body that lasted years. I pay by direct debit and in the past they used to send a paper license through the post each year, which I kept under the TV (obviously). One year I received a similar threatening letter. I replied stating that I had a license and giving details. THEY replied, instructing me to send them the license (not a copy) so that they could verify. Big red flag! Obviously I refused and told them if they wanted, they were welcome to come and look at it but no way was I going to post it to them. They went quiet. Until next year...

I've had roughly 14 letters over the last 10 years telling me they are opening an investigation, and then numerous letters telling me there investigation is almost over before they start an investigation again, and still no one has come to my door. They are full of crap, but I'm very glad they keep sending me and everybody else letters because it costs them money.

When you get one in the post, don’t open it, write on the unopened letter’ Unsolicited Mail’, ‘Return to Sender’. Do not put a stamp on it. Don’t open or bin them, keep returning them. It all adds to their losses, perfik!

I thought it was ANY livestream on KZbin, Twitch, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. Not just 'official' channels, such as Sky News, CNN and so on. As far as I'm aware, they don't distinguish between you livestreaming on KZbin and Sky News - it's all live and therefore, you would need a license 🤔

Ring them , say your the occupier, dont give your name, tell them their " right of access is revoked " tell them your recording the phonecall and actually record it. After that they cant even walk through your front gate. Ever. I did this 15 years ago and since , weve never had a letter from them or a knock at the door.
