Those aren’t necessarily PLA boys, those are more likely “armed police”, a paramilitary group very similar to Waffen-SS, with communist ideology instead of Nazi, and speak Chinese instead of German.

I went through the entire forbidden city twice because I couldn't find the exit the first time and they didn't allow me to go out from the entrance. It was hardest legs day ever but I loved everything about it.😅

I didn’t get through forbidden city but bought a ticket for the park on the west of the part from Tiananmen to the forbidden city entrance called Zhongshan park and was able to get back to Tiananmen Square.

Hi Nico & Jack. Thanks for the "free" tour of Beijing. Great contents and cinematography. We actually enjoyed walking around the outside moat of the Forbidden City more than the interior itself. Maybe because it was so crowded.

I first went to Beijing in 2000. It was in October, after the golden week. There was beautiful sunshine and clear skies. I returned in 2016 and it is still a great place.

I always visit Houhai when I visit family. I love the walks in the old narrow streets and cruising along the lake on an electric motor boat! My way of relaxing in Beijing.

I wonder how different city sizes would impact this idea? Like Kunming vs Chongqing... I imagine you would get very different experiences/different options available :)

Chaoyang Park is also free. Check online a lot free museums but you need booked it online. If you are Beijinger pay 100RMB/year for Annual park ticket more than 100 attractions you can entry everyday

Ah, some of my favourite parts of Beijing. Doesn't look like they've changed too much thankfully. Would enjoy more videos like this is of just mozying around Beijing :-) And seeing the interiors of restaurants, I so miss Chinese restaurants!

Terrible! A 2-year-old Chinese boy was shot and killed in the car! The whole family drove normally, but they were hit by a sudden disaster! On November 6, us time, a 2-year-old (23 month old) Chinese boy in California was shot dead on interstate 880 in Oakland.
