As a Chinese, I think your analysis is much more objective than western country people made. China and India are both rising and have engineer bonus. Core of the world economy will shift to Asian again. There is no forever friendship between country. Russian and the US are afraid of china being so powerful, so they give military support to India. China also afraid that Indian grow so fast as it has potential to become superpower in the future, so China support Pakistan deter the development of India.

Lets not forget, that both the US and EU have deficits to China. So, should we apply the same economic sanctions to China it is game over. (Actually probably for all of the world) Chinas wealth is due to being the factory of the world and selling those goods somewhere in the world! The biggest market being the west, that is us,eu,japan,canada,south korea, taiwan, australia, israel… The thing is, should we impose those sanctions things might be temporarily bad for us, but since we have a deficit and all the know how we can build these industries and scale up, while China has to scale down, which is a recession. China is already copying the 2008 bubble in its property sector. And the most important thing: You destroy the US, EU or China it is game over for humanity, because of climate change:) We wont survive that one if it gets +5 degrees

Good explanation. However I would like to remind that China and Taiwan are different from Ukraine and Russia, they are not comparable. China and Taiwan are in a phase of civil war, and even 30 or 40 years ago both sides claimed full Chinese sovereignty. But it was due to the protection and support of the United States that Taiwan's politics moved toward independence and the de-Chineseization of its people was implemented. The fact is that Taiwan's international status is not yet a complete independent state, and some people in Taiwan still identify with one China, and even its constitution is still republic of china instead of Taiwan. In addition, China isn't belligerent, and his primary goal is still economic construction. As long as Taiwan does not declare independence, that region should be peaceful.

Seriously? how so? You seem to be confused between democracy and freedom-- one is a form of governance the other is freedom of expression. You can have too much freedom and can restrict some freedoms by democratically passing laws. But saying there is too much democracy makes no sense whatsoever.
@gamelandmaster3680
@gamelandmaster3680 2 жыл бұрын
@@alisharoy3206 True, but how do you pass a law that grants less freedom if you live in a Semi or Full Democracy where the people have power? True, the US and others are Republics which makes the people elect other people that pass laws that effect the people. But it would still be difficult to pass a law. Take the Roman Empire in the days of the SPQR, Julius Caesar couldn’t pass many reforms that would benefit the Empire, and those empowered the people. Imagine if the US, which is based on Romes system, decided to pass a law that didn’t benefit the people. There is no way a person would favor a yay on a bill like that less you bribe or threaten them which is illegal (though this also happened in the SPQR).
@alisharoy3206
@alisharoy3206 2 жыл бұрын
@@gamelandmaster3680 I am not sure I understand terms such as semi-democracy or full democracy. Either you have a democracy or you don't. People have power to self-govern or they don't. As for your question- how do you pass laws that grant less freedom.-- we just do that all the time. In USA, people had the freedom to discriminate against Black people and deny them housing jobs and service in bars and restaurants. The Civil Rights Act of 1965 abolished that freedom to discriminate. In India, freedom of expression is not absolute. We have routinely enacted laws to restrict free speech when it threatens public or communal harmony, or banned books and films deemed 'offensive'. Both USA and India are very robust democracies. Compare freedom of speech as enshrined in the US and Indian constitutions. In the USA freedom of speech includes the freedom to express hatred against any religious minority. Our democracy has restrictions on it. In US their so called Second Amendment allows its citizens to own and use weapons. Our laws forbid it (with some exceptions). Both USA and Singapore also have very robust democracies but Singapore's laws are much stricter and freedoms there are far more restricted than those in USA. That does not mean Singapore is a semi-democracy or USA has 'too much democracy' ; Americans just enjoy more freedom than Singaporeans . So answer to your question is yes people can decide for themselves to restrict their own freedoms. But that can only happen if people enjoy a Democratic form of self-governance . The other alternative is to scrap democracy instal a totalitarian regime and have that regime dictate what degree of freedom its people should or should not enjoy.

The problem with “Western Democracy” is that everyone is just given the right to vote, without any requirements. A large number of voters are uninformed, have little to no actual understanding of the issues, and otherwise have no business shaping the policy of a nation. I’m not about excluding people from voting though...but the way things are now, it’s clear it isn’t working. At a bare minimum, voters should have to pass a competency test. Just my two cents.

China is not the model unless you like totalitarianism. The social credit system is a nightmare Orwellian Freudian horror film. We can live in a world where people care and share and encourage love. I can see a world outside these fish tanks that we have been conditioned to think are the only world, but there are models that emulate nature and work with the natural world systems that we must create ourselves of a kinder world where we don’t submit to tyranny. But to something that connects us together not divides. Something that sees that Love is the last frontier 🤙🏽Much love and aloha❤️

Hi Amit, great insights in your video. When you were talking about the system of governance in Russia and China you were very specific with your nomenclature, but struggled to find a middle ground term for their state systems. I have read about the term "Managed Democracy" when it comes to Russia's approach and I think it is describing its core function pretty well. I am not sure if it can be applied to China's interpretation of democracy, but it might be the common term to describe their systems.

There are a few things in the video that I don't quite agree with: 1. China and Russia have a 4,300-kilometers border line, which has brought many conflicts and hidden dangers in the past few decades, but with the long negotiations, the current China-Russian border issue has come to an end. Frontier people can freely fish and go up to the mountains for harvesting without worry crossing the border. This is also in the interests of both parties. With the recent signing of bilateral agreements between China and Russia, cooperation in oil and gas, finance and digital trade,the common interests of China and Russia have undoubtedly determined the status of the two countries as a substantial international alliance.The issues mentioned in the video did not fundamentally affect the foundation of mutual trust between them. 2. The controversial nature of China's capitalist economy. Even the United States has not yet recognized China's market economy status. China has a large amount of state-owned economy, and state-owned capital also holds shares in many enterprises. Therefore, it is inaccurate to say that China is a capitalist economy. The Chinese government has recently been cracking down on tech giants, cracking down on the private education industry, suppressing housing prices, and reforming the social health insurance system. These all show that China does not want to take the path of pure Western capitalism.China does not want education, housing, healthcare, infrastructure completely controlled by private capital. 3. From my perspective, I can observe that the Indian government's position in international politics is quite swaying rather than neutral. India participates in the Quad with the United States, but it was rejected by the United States to join AUKUS, which is a true alliance. India and Russia are in full swing military procurement, but india also have a military border conflict with China.India does not want to be controlled by the United States ,fighting a proxy war with china. India also does not want to cooperate with China to increase india itself political influence in Southeast Asia and Central Asia.India seems want to contain China on the one hand, but also does not willing to be used by the West, which has made India increasingly marginalized in international geopolitics in recent years.

Good points mainly. Just a small part that need to be clear. China is a socialist country . It practises a people's interests comes first . It allows private enterprise to strive but all must remember to share and help the poorer ones. China's recent moves on private enterprises so that they do not fall into the same trap the capitalist countries have evolved into ie. the 1% takes almost everything. China thus will ensure rich regions must help the poor regions like Tibet and Xinjiang . Today both poor countries are having infrastructures and development even US states will envy . All development funds come from rich eastern part. Same thing in private enterprises . They should share their wealth with the poor as their wealth comes from the people. They should ensure all have equal opportunities like in education they banned private tutorials for public exams so that poor families without the funds for top rate tutorial lessons would not be disadvantaged. how else can you find a village boy rearing pigs able to rise to be one of the greatest leader of China ... President Xi? This you can never find in western democracy where only the rich is able to be leaders with the exception of Indonesia today It's good policy not that China discourages success by the private sectors. The amount milked by western education companies giving useless tutorial is huge .. and served no purpose just to pass the exams. One stroke ban on tutorial for public exams is the best i can think of that the poor will have equal chances.

@@donalduncleusa6552 That shows you do not understand Chinese polities vs western policiies. Chinese primary policies is to take care of the needs of all people as equally as possible and indeed is very socialist . While the west's capitalist policies protects the rich capitalists until the 1% continue to grow rich and rich by the day even in the pandemic, China's policies had been on basis of shared prosperity . That means those who do very well should help those who are not. How else would you expect a dirt poor Tibet and Xinjiang today have such huge and beautiful inftrastructures like bridges, fast trains, modern cities, clean air and etc etc that even USA envy? If it had been the capitalist western system , which nut capitalist will spend a single dime to build the long tunnels and rails through mountains in Tibet where hardly anyone stays? Yes, the successful rich western Chinese region supports the poor western regions. About clamp down on private business. That is nonsense. Chinese private business are allowed to grow as much as they want but must be aware not to harm their economy as well as must indulge in sharing some of the wealth to help the poor . How else you think China has the money to uplift 800 millions people out of poverty when in US you see millions of homeless all over . In China they provided homes and jobs to those poor and they are happy. Your recent take on China clamping down on certain private business like Education was to curp the exploding tutorial classes built by western companies charging huge fees all to pass public exams. This caused poor families to be unable to compete. China took the steps to ban these public exams tutorial just to get a seat in UNiversities. This showed the Chinese govt cared for the people not the rich . You see such in your western society? No. so be informed lad. You guys are already misinformed and bias Holier than thou attitudes.. Chinese are happy today .. and it is the safest in the world to move about.

The battle for the Dnieper was another major defeat for the forces of Germany and its allies. The Red Army, which Hitler intended to stop for a long time on the Dnieper, not only was not stopped, but in a short time on a wide front crossed one of the largest rivers in Europe and inflicted a serious defeat on the Wehrmacht and its allies, forcing the German troops to retreat along the entire front. The liberation of Kiev, the capital of the Ukrainian SSR, was of great political and moral significance. Despite the fact that most of the territory of Right-Bank Ukraine was still under the control of the Wehrmacht, it became obvious that the complete liberation of the Ukrainian SSR and the withdrawal of the Red Army to the borders of Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland was only a matter of time. The most important industrial regions of the Donbass and the metallurgical centers of southern Ukraine, vast territories with a population of tens of millions of people, were liberated. Despite the great destruction, the restoration of the industrial enterprises of the Union immediately began, and a few months later, a rapid increase in the output of military products began in the liberated regions. And at the beginning of 1944, the Red Army began the liberation of the Right-Bank Ukraine. In addition, the battle for the Dnieper clearly demonstrated the strength and power of the partisan movement. The "rail war" carried out by Soviet partisans from September to October 1943 significantly complicated the supply of German troops, forced the enemy to divert significant forces from the front to protect and ensure their rear communications.

EU sells lots of goods to China, and no one in EU wants to be the enemy of money in this capitalistic world. Russia GDP alone is like Chinese Guangdong province GDP, China prefer a strong EU solidarity to offset and buffer part the US power with its currency euro, although many EU member states are part of the NATO, they know they don’t want to be the puppets of American. Thus causing Trump to raise tariffs on Chinese goods. Ego caused China to do the same. Clear case of the supposedly oldest civilization against the world’s youngest democracy. All of the initiatives set upon by China of so call trade routes once Countries start seeing things being built that had nothing to do with trade, it was America that sounded the warning bell in regards to Chinese financial influence, plus a Country’s compromise of its Sovereignty. When building ports for trade, okay that’s one thing but ports that have the dual purpose for military as well. That’s not what Countries were signing up for. Then comes China’s real estate meltdown. So much so that any news related to that was stifled. Eventually news did get out, before that when it was discovered that 5G from China’s own tech giants were actually making it extremely easy to backdoor into Chinese made tech thus spying on all individuals. That news did nothing to put consumers at ease in a increasing world of electronic spyware. The sheer audacity in which a unrepentant China keeps silent on to this day. It the attitude of Chinese thing they own the world and are subject to no scrutiny. Even to the prediction of reuniting Taiwan by 2050 when you know that those people have a very different distinctiveness about themselves and yet China respect no such thing ask any Tibetans or Uighur. The backing of Putin who believe in overturning a peoples choice. And every country has those fringed lunatics clamoring for more injustice against freewill. And for the draconian restrictions within China itself is nothing but a ploy to put the insidious CCP back on center stage in the lives of the average Chinese, Tibetan, Uighur and other who reside inside controlled borders. The CCP calling itself democratic, a claim made to blur lines of words, its meanings in anyone minds. The CCP allowed some capitalism into its market because economy wise there ideas caused more harm than good. People took advantage of opportunities and now after years of their labor the CCP takes their earning with no explanations. Chinese tech giants or any business alike are seeing their earnings snatched away by the CCP. Yet you come across as some pundit of a Chinese think tank. No thank you world markets in relation to China state otherwise. But I guess this too is America’s doing as well. You might fool those so eager to believe you but not me. China and Russia could create a strategy whereby the US has to fight on both fronts at the same time. That would significantly erode the power of the US. Food for thought?

India can not take the Russian side because they would be kind of going against their Quad alliance agreement . This could have wide ranging negative impacts on India's future trade relations and defense alliances . Supporting Russia would be playing right into Chinas hands if India becomes Isolated and untrustworthy . China wants an isolated India .

Western style democracy Expensive to run. Susceptible to class influence and foreign interference Best for highly educated population. Almost always favor the contributors or lobbyists than general population. Equality only in each having a right to a vote only, but almost never fair in benefits

Yeah, I absolutely believe you when you're taking about the huge problem of too much democracy. Too much freedom can be toxic, such is what we're facing right now with cancel culture. Now I'm not saying that freedom is bad, but as you said, too much of something can be bad.

The saying I remember ; just because it’s allowed doesn’t mean you should always partake in it as often as you want. A thing called moderation is a good personal policy of responsibility to have. A thing that went out the window because people did not want to be held morally responsible. The choice of more, more, more has made certain members of the human race far more less appreciative to what they have at this moment in life. Back in the 60’s people care more about the welfare of others than politics. The media back then was not about sensationalism, it was concerned about truthful reporting. Life was more about leading a seriously moderate life, even more so for others. Activist activities were more conscious about social welfare and justice and if life was a bit rough you did what you had to do and was honest about it to a fault to make life a bit easier. The 70’s up to 1985 people were into developing lasting, long relationships either romantically or just a good relationship with peoples in general. The moment the cell phones an internet start taking root is when things reached the top of the mountain an things momentarily slowed. Now going down the slope seemingly without brakes people wanted more. Segments of human kind suffered without realizing they were, even today. Women became more masculine than some men, men became more feminine than women. Masculine men wanted feminine women, while those masculine women put on a cloak of femininity to gain access to men. Feminine men went the other way to change physiology to be a woman, thus fooling well intentioned men. By 1996 to 1998 you could see the hate seeping into society. Banning of crosses, make the oddball for say merry Christmas, now the gender war of Christ is a woman. Smile at a woman get slap for sexual harassment. Not interested in a nasty woman, you get called gay. Don’t want a homeless shelter in your community joins shrieking NIMBY group and crush a homeless project. Your neighbor’s new house to be built join a different NIMBY group to shut it down. While children starve, people go homeless, education dumbed down so the mentally disable child’s parents can brag about their child on the honor roll. Parents fighting referees at school games, when it used to be the children fighting each other. Politicians without backbone top erase every Jim Crow law in The Country that’s affront to blacks in the country. The murder by the police of a black man and grinning while murdering him. The screaming at Latinos for speaking their native language. The raping of a child an the white guy gets what amounts to 18!months in jail not prison! Black man gets 20years in prison for kissing a white girl on her belly but the act was an act of consent. Black men murder every day by the police just for following an officer orders. White guy beats the hell out a cop, steal the cop car it’s considered a misunderstanding. Black president nails out large banks they are informed it must be paid back but the basically tell him to got to hell. Two payments behind on your house the bank will have you removed. All the while the people want more. But no one wants to be morally responsible or accountable. Life in America 🌷

What do you mean by too much democracy? I can understand whether freedom can be too much or not enough. You (and the author of this video) seem to be confused between the term 'democracy' and 'freedom' and seem to refer to them interchangeably FYI democracy is a system of governance by representatives elected directly by an eligible majority people of a nation, the electorate. Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint or subjugation.. Why do you confuse one style of governance with rights of free speech, thought or action ? If you think too much freedom is toxic then restrict it by electing representatives that pass laws. That will still be a robust form of democracy . But then don't complain if the other side wins and democratically restricts some of your freedoms. You can't have it both ways and there is no guarantee your side will always win --in a democracy .

@@alisharoy3206 I understand that in a democracy that the strength of voters to elect and hold politicians accountable thru the vote. they want to remain in office then they set about doing the will of the people. But we know all too often it doesn’t play that way at times. But my real concern from what I see and hear out on the street. The attitude is just because I can, I will do whatever and don’t care about it. Such as you see the light is red but because a person thinks for the most, only themselves thus they speed right thru a glaring red light without a care of the consequences in case of a mishap. It is in that context in which I am talking about. If you give an inch, somebody wants a mile. It is that that people should really think, that just because I can should I. Meaning that it’s okay but you do not have constantly push the boundaries, on everything. 🌷

@@MyLife-og2kr Absolutely! But that's a societal problem ,it is a cultural problem -- it says in the name --cancel 'culture'.. It is not a consequence of a democratic process. A Parliament of elected representatives did not enact a law mandating de-platforming and cancelling people because of their views.
