No offence. Previously I had thought that both were sheetholes. However, after visiting both I overturned my opinion in China and confirmed my opinion in India. In China I visited Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzen, XI’An and Yunnan, I was amazed by how beautiful, advanced, clean, historical, diverse and friendly that China was. In India I enjoyed a wonderful trip there. However, how they treated their poor people, how they planned their cities and how they behaved dishonestly and so many chaotic and dirty slums made me sick.

Our stock market size is half of china, number of unicorns, not far behind. Tech wise China's adaptation seems ahead of even developed countries.. Our research budget is dust compared to china. Our current economic situation is like china in 2005s. Patents are rising quickly, easily will cross US to become second in number of patents by 2030.. GDP factor gap will slowly close. Our infrastructure spending is booming.. By 2050 we might become what china is today. $20 Trillion is quite achievable. But by the time China would be 2.5x i think by 2050. China developed quickly due to its reforms and manufacturing scale. India is also focusing on it and most companies now prefer India for manufacturing since wages are low and dedicated freight corridors are being made, expressways are being made..

Very simple reason why India's GDP will never catch up with China. Because the difference between the two countries is too big, with (2023 GDP) China at $17.7 trillion and India at only $3.732 trillion. If India's growth rate for 2024 is 7%, then the growth will be $261.2b. If China's GDP growth rate is 4.2%, then the growth will be $743.4b, and that's $482.2b more than India. So, GDP for China in 2024 will grow to $18.443 trillion, while India will be only $3.994 trillion. If both countries' growth rates remain the same for 2025, then India's GDP growth will be $279.5b. China's GDP growth will be $774.6b and it it's $494.4b more than India. The difference between the two countries in 2025 will be increased by $12.2b. if the same growth rates for 2026, then the difference will be $12.3b.
