The one supposedly going to a cemetery is suspicious as the language of the auto assistants in English, currently the Chinese domestic cars do not use English on the mainland. The sales in January plummeted as the government tax free incentive ended 31-12-2023, this resulted in record sales in December and a cliff drop in sales in January.

@@simonl4657 I don't think the rate of fire in Tesla's is greater than normal cars. The work to engineer a good EV battery isn't easy. Just a few years ago we had BYD batteries being touted as so safe.. now we see that they have problems when they put them into packs. Single batteries are one thing battery packs are something entirely different. Managing batteries and keeping them safe isn't as easy as it looks. Chevy Bolt shows just the same kind of issue.

I'm not surprised the Chinese EVs are catching fire. When I was growing up my father was in the military. The only people using lithium batteries was the military and they had the nickname of the hand grenade or exploding battery. If they developed a short or they felt warm the technicians would go outside and throw them as far as they can like a hang grenade or throw them inside a metal garbage can and put the lid on it. We saw a few years ago when the samsung tablets were catching fire. It was because they were trying to make the batteries cheaper and cutting corners.

How is showing videos of BYDs batteries exploding a hit piece? It's fundamentally a service to the community showing the massive safety issue using lithium batteries being entirely buried by the media and vested interests like yourself. This world has become idiotic when the truth just gets buried or the obvious truth mocked and highjacked by corporations with deep pockets and armies of useful idiots. Also, BYD, a Chinese company making cars in a country with poor employee safety, poor employee remuneration, a country with zero respect of intellectual property, that makes the world's equipment using the largest, most polluting coal fired grid (China has half of all coal fired power stations), a country that builds record numbers of new coal fired plants regardless of what the corporates that are vested in China greenwash about China's energy grid, a country that is engaged in ethnic cleansing, a country that exported a biological weapon to the rest of the world after shutting down it's own domestic flights, killing our grandparents all over the world. How is this good? China as a nation, not the hard-working people themselves, but the disgusting, sabre-rattling tyranny is a disgraceful blight upon this world created by the greed of multi-national corporations completely devoid of even a shred of morality. Chinese cars will be the only cars you can buy eventually, so I hope you like these piles of s***.

The truth is: EV’s catch fire much, much, much more often than regular cars. To think that KZbin and social media (and press) being full of EV fires but not much regular car fires would be some kind of mass conspirator is just silly. Ask shipping companies (water, land, air) how they classify risks of regular cars transport vs EV transport. Unlike silly and blind EV fans, they aren’t silly, or blind. Let me leave you with this: literally a ton of batteries in a single vehicle is not smart or viable technology, you don’t have to be a genius to figure it out. A quick Google search will reveal that BYD's Blade batteries are being utilized by other automakers, including Tesla, Mercedes, Hyundai, Toyota, and Ford, among others. It's worth mentioning that BYD is about to launch a new Sodium-ion EV battery plant. It's important to note that the first explosion in the video is not from an electric vehicle, let alone a BYD one. Furthermore, while the original video was cropped and blurred, you can still see that it's a film shoot if you look to the left. It's worth noting that BYD cars say BYD on the steering wheel.
