I live in Germany and to me as someone who is subscribed to channels like this one and knows what is really going on in China, it is so frustrating and painful to see how there is so much wrong stuff written and said in the German media about the troubles of German car making companies like Volkswagen or Porsche. The media here doesn't know or doesn't acknowledge that the Chinese economy is tanking and that the Chinese middle class is vanishing in record time. They see that German companies are selling less and less cars in China, but they don't know the real reasons, so they keep talking about how those companies were mismanaged and how they weren't innovative enough and how they didn't invest enough into electric vehicle technology and so on, when the reality is just that their customers can't afford the cars anymore and the Chinese government is hiding that fact.

Well to be fair Porsche is the only one of those listed selling well made German luxury cars so of course their employees will be paid well vs. even other foreign car brands listed. With such exorbitant prices, and in China salaries do not match the cost of living, salaries are rock bottom, the middle class is sinking into poverty and the poor into misery, there are millions of people unemployed, most of them don't even have breakfast, and if they do have breakfast it's a small bun called mianbao with a soup that's practically hot water and they only eat one meal a day. I guess people are not aware that ICE cars can't be driven every day in most first tier cities in China and most wealthy people live there. So people are kind of forced to adapt to EVs. And I guess most people posting here are not aware of how many Porsche Taycan recalls including a battery issues that can't be fixed and potential fire risk.
