I got the AirWolf frame (looks almost the same) and I just finished building it up with Sram XX1 drivetrain. Love it so far. It's my 6th MTB build using Direct From Factory frames from eBay. I pound on my MTBs in Colorado, Moab, and all over the Mid-West USA and I have had zero frame problems in 6 years and saved at least $7000 over the years buying these frames on eBay. Cheers

Phil, is there a “conclusion” video on the subscriber bike? I couldn’t locate it? I am intrigued by the frame you selected and was interested in knowing your overall assessment. PS - your content is fabulous!

Tektro M750 has great bite, overall power AND modulation in my experience. Great for anything up to All Mountain level of riding.

I was thinking the same thing, that's a new D7 and he's not got a wheelset yet. Thanks for the build and info! I was considering doing a full squish frame from Wish or Ali Express. Shouldn't be to expensive for me as I have some parts I can steal from other bikes. Good video, keep up the good work

Anytime! Glad you are enjoying the series. It's worth it if you have some parts lying around and you find the right frame. There's definitely some dodgy ones out there!
@3pidemiC123
@3pidemiC123 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but this bike is a whole heck of a lot nicer than that D7. I doubt you'd be able to find a carbon full-squish similarly equipped for less than this build ends up being.
@BikeDrFrankenstein
@BikeDrFrankenstein 2 жыл бұрын
@@3pidemiC123 no doubt! I was just agreeing with what he said that he was already price wise at a D7. And that it's more expensive building your bike even when you purchase an inexpensive frame form Ali Express

Real interesting! You can check rear axle travel since you have the frame. Install the shock, deflated and cycle through the rear travel and measure. I have Tekro M750 and they are unbelievable. TRP is their higher end division.

Every complete bike BMX or mountain bikeI ever bought I was ended up changing parts cuz there was something else I wanted that was better in form or function. For the last mountain bike I built the whole thing from the frame up I tried to get everything I could on clearance or the best price online. it might have cost me a little more been buying a complete bike. but I have everything exactly the way I wanted it and have no reason to want to change anything so in the long run it's cheaper cuz I never replaced any parts on it. Unless they broke or wear out

can I ask about the provenance of the frame, the quality and build standard. Is it Australian tested, The last thing I would want is a frame failure - could end in a terrible crash or DEATH if it fails.

Thanks Lief! Really depends on your riding style, if you prefer a more agile enduro bike that is good on tight tech and on jumps, it is a good option. If you prefer some more modern geometry and like fast open trails, there are some better options out there

N7 is an awesome bike when on special. Have had mine for 3 months, and quickly swapped out the Magic Mary tyres for lighter Trail/xc combo. For me it is a long travel Trail bike. Head angle isnt stupid slack, and seat angle works well for pedalling.
