This is very good and, although very oversimplified (which is the point), still very informational. As somebody who has an extreme fascination for the Chinese civil war, it is very refreshing to see people make content about it, as it is often overlooked. Keep up the good work!

Thank you. Indeed every single event mentioned can be easily extended into a hours-long video. I will make more contents about Chinese history (simplified or not).

Really good video! I would advice using a different flag for the early ccp in the next video as the one shown was adopted later on. The correct one would be that for the The flag of The Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army when depicting during the early civil war.

Interesting video but some errors. Tibet during this time should be highlighted as light blue since Lhasa never officially seceded and never intended to do so. Furthermore the Lhasa regime controlled the western and central portions of what would later be known as Tibetan Autonomous Region. The Eastern Portion was under Sikang Province. Furthermore the status of Mongolia was only sorted out in Oct 1949. Perhaps a future version of the map would be highlight the official borders of the ROC in black lines while using white lines to denote the various de facto zones of control.

Regardless of your political stance, one cannot deny the amazing richness China has. Its why these civil wars always had people fighting for her.

The Communist Party of China is offically called that in english. Ergo it is CPC, not CCP. The west deliberately always uses the wrong acronym. Also, "Tibet" was effectively a warlord state under control of the KMT. Not an independent country like Mongolia. So it should be blue, like the rest of China.
@ijnfuso33686 күн бұрын
At the time it was called the ccp
@thesovietshark89455 күн бұрын
tibet was independent though, they were under a monarchy (albeit with slavery and serfdom) and did not answer to the KMT. They didn’t participate in WW2 or the civil war
