I have been running mine to heat my greenhouse every night, running in manual mode. I start it on low at sunset, and bump it up to medium before I go to bed (using the remote). The following morning, I turn it off manually at 9am. That's 16 hours of run-time. I refill it with exactly 1 gallon. Last night, I decided to try automatic mode. I set it to 11 degrees Celsius, and also let it run for 16 hours. It only used 1/2 gallon in that mode.

This fits well with other videos about this "8" kW heater, Maximum output seems to be around 3 kW.(i L diesel contains around 10 kWh energy, so 8 kW should be 0.8 L/h+ exhaust losses. Remember this when you compare to electrical heating costs.(Usually cheaper than electricity anyway depending on where you live)

Was yours purportedly claimed to be 8kW? Diesel only contains about 10 1/2kWh per litre, so will only deliver about 5kWh worth of fuel every hour. Take off the heat losses and you are well below 5kW of useful heat output.😊

Thank you for sharing. Let it complete the shit down mode to reduce risk of damage to unit. This will be my second winter and it is awesome heat for my insulated 12*20 wood shop. Everyone stay warm, safe, happy and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia

Please never disconnect the power when it is running, because it needs to run its shutdown process to cool down so you don't burn up the circuit board. Also it's a good idea to run it on high for 10 to 30 minutes before you shut off to burn off carbon deposit

Has anyone tried putting Peltier devices, on the exhaust to charge the batteries? I am not covering my exhaust because it releases heat into the room.

Dyed diesel is about $0.10/L cheaper. Furnace oil is just dyed diesel but if you are pulling it out of a heating oil tank in Ontario you might as well just buy clear at the pump because they put a tax on heating oil that eats any savings. There is a cardlock here that will sell dyed without a cardlock card. Some won't do that. I have a petropass fuel card but I don't think my work would appreciate using it lol

I was curious the difference in output temp on low versus high mode. You said about 200 degrees on high never heard the output on low. And I’m wondering if you pulled outside air to burn in the combustion chamber if it would be a benefit or a loss on keeping the inside temperature up.

Simple mathematics tells you how much fuel you should use. The .022ml dosing pumps that are fitted to the 5kw and 8kw heaters use 0.119L/Hr running at 1.5Hz, 0.158L/Hr @ 2Hz, 0.238L/Hr @ 3Hz, 0.317L/Hr @ 4Hz and 0.396L/Hr running at 5Hz.

My 2kw one (the physically smaller one) had a .018ml pump but it wouldn't run on low and had hard starts. I put a .022 on and it works. Don't know if the pump that came with was bad or if it wasn't enough displacement. I ordered another 2kw one I'm going to try the pump that comes with it and see if it'll run it. I'm going to swap it out and take the heater apart and see if it carboned up with the bigger pump over the approx 100 hours it's ran. Still works fine

Air inlet inside various starts from as low as 2 degrees to 7 degrees this morning. It puts out more heat than my oil filled rad on mid setting 1200W at .34p kw/hr = 41p per hour.
