i watched a video today where someone else had a E-08 code and he found it to be a fan issue where the intake fan was slightly catching on the casing not a fuel issue like the book says.

How interesting, so maybe it was slowing it down and making it flood? I think once they start throwing up errors they are so cheap now you may as well replace the whole unit 🤣🤣

I discovered that my E08 and E03 were because the pump and glow plug are only rated for 12v, and i was running it on 24v and burnt the pump out. The heater was advertised as 12/24v. It started with the E03 (glow plug short circuit), but i would clear the code and restart until it comes to life. After a few hours, it threw an E08 and also devolved a mysterious leak. Admittedly, it took me a little while to find where it was coming from. Eventually, i found the leak seeping from the pump electrical plug and then down the wires, the pump was also hot to the touch. Turns out only the display and motor are rated 12/24v New 24v parts ordered. Happy days

An Error 08 (E-08) diesel heater code means that you've got low fuel or air in the fuel lines. Error 08 Troubleshooting: Check the fuel lines in the fuel tank.

I had the same code 08 on my Chinese diesel heater and it turned out to be the intake hose was twisted up , restricting fresh air intake from coming in,

Jolt it with 24v and it will jump-start it. Did that to mine yesterday after watching another KZbinr do it.

Take no notice!! Ffs they all come out with different things I have taken around 4 or 5 to bits fir various reasons , the E-8 covers a multitude of related problems if the pump isn’t working do not assume it’s broken, on mine the controller lights up everything seems fine but the pump won’t kick in hmm so I bought not one but two new pumps ,and still same problem so I was about to smash the things to bits then I read that the cable must be able to take so many amps or voltage , and so I changed it to some thick copper wire very thick and strong I tried again with the original old fuel pump and I heard it ticking and then it fired up , so there’s power enough to light everything up but not enough to power the pump , can you imagine how long you would be trying to figure that one out ? I did it after trying everything these fools tell you in these videos but just by chance , I read a little bit within the information provided the power cable from the transformer or battery must hold enough voltage or amps to work the pump !! so check your cable !! How much voltage will it hold or is it the Amps I can’t remember but it is something well worth knowing

Jump start the pump, sticky from sitting. Try a jolt from a 20v battery such as from a drill. If it doesn't work you still have one on order.

How do you jump start a pump?
@juliogonzo27183 жыл бұрын
Haha I used to pull the little wire retainer thing off the connector, then I discovered you just have to push in on it and it will allow the plug to separate

E-8 always baffles everyone take no notice of most of if these videos , one of the main reasons is the wire or the cable your using if it’s not thick enough for the correct amps everything will look like it’s working but there’s not enough amps to power the pump the pump will be working fine , he’s clueless take my word I changed two pumps for nothing thinking same thing eventually I realised it was the cable not allowing the right power in other words the amps!!
@STTC7 ай бұрын
Lol, the cable comes with the pump so I very much doubt that
@Genghis-Khan1217 ай бұрын
@@STTC listen people add more cable because they ain’t long enough doh ! before pouring scorn I suggest you actually read up on it as it’s also in the manufacturers instructions on faults take it you know better than them and btw way I don’t tell fkn lies do you really think anyone would go to the trouble of explaining all this for nothing , I have taken many apart and I have also been a diesel fitter for 50 years

E-08, thick fuel, out of fuel, or it will not burn at the right range! Been running my heater for a month nonstop, I set it to the lowest pump rate, so when I fill it up, 1 gallon lasts for 45 hours. It cost $22 dollars for to fill up a 5 gallon tank. so I get a mini 220 hours.

Whack your pump repeatedly with handle of a screw driver. That works for me whenever pump is stuck.

Yeah cool,,, done that a few times now

I suspect it is water in the fuel that make these pumps stick. For that reason I recently fitted a water separator fuel filter. Filter bowl is semitransparent and any collected water must be manually drained.

Having had a really good think,,, is your battery dropping below the required voltage so it shuts down? 8 hrs is about right to run out of enough power,,,,does it go through a proper shut down cycle? Does the battery icon come on on the LCD display?
