They also have a Spanish study Bible in the Reina Valera 1960 version. Waiting for a spot to open on a rebinder's queue to have one rebound in goatskin.

Thanks for sharing it Tim. I'm a Chinese believer and I've been using the ESV study Bible as one of my daily study materials and I didn't know there's a Chinese version of it until I saw this video. I'll definitely recommend it to my home church back in China. By law you only be able to buy Bibles in the three-self church ( the "state church"), but I'm not sure if this particular one is for purchase in China at all, I'll have a look. Shalom !

Thanks for the video Tim. I had several Chinese Bibles in the past, but the community I was giving them to has since moved on. I had a few Chinese/English translations. They were popular. I know only a handful of Chinese symbols, but I was able to make some things out: Chinese Page 1 - Theology of the Old Testament (English Page 29) Chinese Page 2256 - The Canon of Scripture - The Apocrypha (English Page 2581) Chinese Page 2279 - Definitely talking about the Septuagint, but not as a part of its own article as in the ESV Study Bible. Chinese Page 2282 - How the New Testament Quotes the Old Testament (English Page 2606) Chinese Page 2356 - Daily Bible Reading Plan - May and June (English Page 2746) All English page numbers refer to the full-size, standard print ESV Study Bible.

Is this the CUV or NCUV translation? The original CUV translation was published in 1919 based on the ERV.

It says it has new punctuation for the translation, but I am not familiar enough with Chinese translations to give a definite answer.

This bible is based on the Chinese Union Version with New Punctuation (CUVNP), published in 1988 and itself a minor update (mainly punctuation changes) of the CUV from 1919. The Revised Chinese Union Version (RCUV), on the other hand, is a 2010 revision edition over CUV 1919.

​@@AFrischPerspective I have years of experience in graphic design. Typesetting for Chinese publications can be challenging. Choosing a suitable typeface, as well as kerning, spacing, punctuation marks, layout proportion and white spacing play a crucial role in creating an enjoyable reading experience.

It's stated that it's in corporation with the CCP government run church, and also modified the content to suit their ideaology. I'm not sure which part they modified, but it's never safe to collaborate with CCP regarding what we believe.
