Maybe add a down rigger clip and attach the camera to the heaviest mono and another rod and reel. Set the lowest drag on the camera rod and the lightest clip pressure on the main line that you can get away with. Maybe it can slip off the main line once you hook something trolling. It may help you catch more if you can see what is happening behind you. Just a crazy idea 💡. Or have the camera line come off your cannon ball to the main line? Less problems that way? Have fun! Good luck. We only live once! Tight lines and keep on catching!

Moo...Question...I've noticed since I started watching all the local kayak fisherman, you guys keep pedaling while you fight the fish to the net. Doesn't that put extra pressure on the fish possibly opening the hole around the hook? My best guess is to insure the fish doesn't run towards you creating slack. Did I just answer my own question? Anyway, nice limit!!
@TheLostAnchovy5 жыл бұрын
Steve -- you just answered your own question. Lol. That's exactly why we do it.
@johnmckroidskayakfishingad20065 жыл бұрын
@@TheLostAnchovy Surely one can reel in the slack to keep the line tight? The only time I would peddle like that would be to keep the fish from getting tangled on the downrigger weight, since those Scotty DR's are hard to wind up while one is fighting a fish. I use a cannon, and won't stop peddling until the weight is clear of the water.

Hey Moo really enjoy your videos brotha. Quick question I moved to the Bay Area and want to get into kayak fishing. I see that the kayaks you guys use are $$$. I currently have a lifetime anglers kayak and was wondering it would work out there? Thanks man 🤙
@MooMooOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I do not recommend lifetime angler out in the ocean or in the bay. I fished out of lifetime when I first started. It worked a few times when I was fishing near the shore/launch on a calm day. One day I was out 1 mile from the harbor on a calm day and the wind picked up on me gusting 25+ mph and it took me 2 hours to paddle 1 mile back to the harbor. That was the last time I took my lifetime out in the ocean and I never will again. There are a few good affordable paddle kayak that can handle the ocean but the pedal kayaks are game changer. It's a big chunk of money at first but it will last many years of abuse and at the end it's worth every penny.
