Jesus Christ! 12oz torpedo weight for that water around the pier? That's something new

Some people use as big as 16 oz and some uses 4 oz. When you are peddling against the strong current bigger weight helps staying on the bottom without letting too much line out.

MooMoo, looking to getting into this with my son. For Halibut, must you troll or can you just drop a line and wait?
@MooMooOutdoors
@MooMooOutdoors 5 жыл бұрын
You can just drop line and drift. Drifting works very well with live bait but also works with dead(frozen) bait. The adventage of trolling is that you cover more water and give a little more action to the bait.

@carlosfung5780
@carlosfung5780 5 жыл бұрын
John Puckett, a shaker is an undersized fish. In this case, a halibut have to be at least 22” to keep, anything less than that fisherman often call them “shakers,” kinda like shake them off your line and back into the water. Hope this explanation helps.
