I had the exact same experience with Kirby's Dreamland 2 of all games lately. The True Final Boss was kicking my butt around the globe before I finally defeated him when, as a kid, he wasn't too much of a problem. ... I guess with this perspective, the "kiddie games" of today could be really difficult for us 80's & 90's kids.

This game is one of the many good licensed Disney games. There were plans to make a remastered version of this game, as with DuckTales and Castle of Illusion, but since Disney stopped making video games, this idea might never see the light of day. I also keep hearing rumors that Disney was planning to make a live-action movie based on the show. Also, I'm pretty sure that crab enemy at 9:58 was the inspiration for Crabmeat from Sonic the Hedgehog.

When I was a young kid my neighbor she had a grandson that used to play this a lot he passed away anyways when the game would sit at the title screen after awhile it plays by itself and she actually thought it was his spirit playing the game and she called me my mom and dad plus other family members to come over cause she was freaked out and I had to tell her it will do that at the title screen if You leave it alone

This game is literally responsible for my path in life. I'm 34 and work as an environment artist in game development. It's 1990, I was eight years old and grounded, I'd recently gotten the brain development to know that the parents were hiding the christmas presents and I can sneak a peak when they're not around. Because I'm grounded, the parents took the NES away and I has to teach myself how to hook the NES back up to the TV. This gave me an interest in electronics, they're never as complicated as they seem. I managed to beat the game before they officially gifted it to me.

I heard that there was a contract between Disney and Capcom that gave the later exclusive rights to make Disney games in Nintendo's consoles, for that reason the Disney games in Nintendo's consoles were different than the ones that appeared in Sega's, specially with Aladdin's game. By the time the Lion King was released the agreement was over and for that reason the game was basically the same in Genesis and Super Nes.
