I love the way you never change your swing speed, it's always consistent and you hit the ball True, great video, short and to the point.

There’s a refreshing way you are presenting these instructional videos. I know this is the first one I’ve seen you do, but the format is perfect for understanding what to do and what the main focus should be to achieve the correct result. Far too often instructional vlogs try to honour their click bate title, without addressing the issue. Great video. Also think your course vlog was excellent. You are a naturally gifted presenter and coach. Would love to see lots more content. Currently I wait for only 3 golf vlogger channels.....Golfholics, Rick Shiels/Peter Finch, and now you. Same natural style, same fun, same interesting content. No egos, just perfect!

I'm at least as good a chipper as anyone I play with, and better than most, but when I'm having a bad chipping day it's usually because I forget the acceleration. And making the follow-through longer than the backswing is something I never thought of! Thanks for the new idea. Going to the practice area today and try that! And what made me a good chipper to start with was Phil Mickelson's "Hinge and hold" video, for sure! I highly recommend it.

Good job, kid! Short and to the point. Not that I don't enjoy seeing your enthusiasm and great attitude, but most channels spend at least 10 minutes describing what you did in 3. This 3 minute video can easily shave off 3 points a round if practiced right.
@alisadiomi6 жыл бұрын
Hahahaha I get bored during those videos with super long introductions... do you prefer longer videos?
@MrHullum6 жыл бұрын
No way, Jose... who likes to watch super long videos only to say to one's self at the end, "why did I just watch that whole thing?" haha... I think instructional videos should be able to cover the basics in a relatively short period of time. Any further in-depth instruction is best done individually, as with most athletes, based on technique, talent, body type, etc... I like the course vlogs being long when ya'll are just out having fun, but that's different.

I like Phil's 50 yard shot technique. _"Accelerate into the finish! That gives me aggressive contact."_
@hippy10022 жыл бұрын
My tip, courtesy of Gelway. Practice drill: set up the shot, say 10 ft off the green. Close your eyes. make the shot, and keep your eyes closed. Try to guess where it ended up. THEN open them and see how good your guess was. Sometimes you hear *plop* (Takes the 'yips' out of the shot.. You ever try stuff like that? I played for years, but didn't break 80 until I got that book.. Changed my whole game..

Before you even mentioned it I was gonna say it's the H & H method 😁😁😁 best way to do it. There's also another way in doing it but it will be too much detail. Let's see a swing video as I like your swing with your iron play as I'm a sweeper golfer. 😁

it did help, thanks but I have to ask, how do I approach the down hill and up hill lies? Same hinge and longer or do I move the ball forward and back as well? I tend to hit the ground first on up hill and blade it on down hill so I use a 8-7 iron to bump and run. Help!

You're amazing. Great teacher, and beautiful. In your next videos, maybe consider not filming right next to a fountain. ;) I guess it was so noisy you had to do some voice over inside in post production. Maybe get a wireless microphone pack. helpful - next time go deeper please- chip from the rough, and different lies and talk about club selections- does hinge and follow through apply to all clubs for chipping or pitch and run?
@alisadiomi6 жыл бұрын
Easwaran Venkatachalam , I like that question! I’ll try to do a video about different lies and types of shots in the future. I think hinge and hold applies to every chip shot (shots within 20-30 yards or so) unless it’s a flop shot, where you turn it over like a full swing

Worse than 'chunking ' the chip shot.. being 190 out and hitting it fat, with your five iron. The ball goes 45 degrees to the right (usually right next to a tree) , and it feels like you hit a rock. You have hit a few, right??
