One of the biggest problems with urban areas like this is the community didn't want to call "The Man" the police which is associated with the white man on their own people. Just let them sell dope commit murder and never testify. Their own community let it get this way and lets blame the government. In my neighborhood if you deal dope the police phone would never stop ringing, they would get tired of the phone calls and take care of it. Now go ahead and retaliation as an excuse because that's all it is an excuse to blame the government.

As much as you say that people kill eachother and not guns, guns are the ones that make it 100 times easier. I agree that humans kill eachother and the weapons are tools but the firearms are completly different from knifes, baseball bats, axes etc. The possibilites a gun gives you over a person is huge compared to a fucking knife. In my opinion, it is too late to ban guns in the US because of the amount of people that already own them.

how is a hospital allowed to just stop taking gun shot wounds. there is something wrong with that.
@JameyCampbell_545 жыл бұрын
BettysRoom no it's actually the only choice they had or either close the doors. Someone has to pay the bills. Hospitals are not exempt from expenses. What do you think it costs to keep a hospital operating , just the power bill alone is probably $15-$20k per month? That's just one expense of many many more like Payroll for 200-300 staff members , medical equipment maintained and updated Etc etc You can't stay in business if you provide your service for free. A Hospital is not exempt from having to make a profit to stay open , pay their bills , pay their employees upgrade/improve the facility. I'm my opinion This is a great idea. Im going to say the majority of GSW victims in that area have ZERO respect for law enforcement or the criminal justice system. So if the threat of going to jail is no longer an effective deterrent then maybe it will Cross their mind that "I will most likely bleed out on the way to the hospital 30 minutes across town if I start this shootout and happen to get hit."

Way to go Vice. Covering a story about the gang violence in Chicago, and managed to make it about gun control.

how do you put a price tag on a life? thats easy, we do that everyday, we have done it since the beginning of time and will keep on doing it until the day the human race ceases to exist. basically if you are not like me then your life is worth less than mine, thats how humans think, all of us. no matter how good you think you are we all think this way, 1 way or another. coming up next you will see 100 ppl trolling me for pointing this out, making comments about how they are nothing like this and how I see everything so black&white, blah blah blah. dont be afraid to admit that humanity is not as good as it think it is.

There is a limit to the value of life. It's basic logic and math. No price tag = infinite worth per life. Mathematically, 1 infinity = 2 infinity, therefore 1 life = 2 lives = 5000 lives. And that doesn't make sense.

Alkan i like your coment, But sometime There is also No limit to the value of life,to save the live of 1 rich person we have to take the kidney ,liver or a heart from other person for example

do you think ppl are capable of valuing life equally (at least human life)? it would be great if we could, but as of right now it seems kind of impossible to be honest. We find so many excuses to hate one another wether its religion, nationality, color, ect. One can only hope right... :'(

He is right, people at the insurance company do that for a living

It comes down to money. If everyone was rich and could live comfortably there would be far less conflict. Corporations are ruining the world before our very eyes and we let it happen.

What I don’t understand is if it’s so dangerous in Chicago..... THEN MOVE. There’s no fence around the city keeping them inside.

What kind of city treats its own citizen's so cold, and what type of hospital doesn't treat gun shot wounds.

I live in a community where most people own guns but we don't have any gang violence. It is a problem of attitude not weapons.

You mix desperate people with guns & you'll see plenty of violence. That part of Chicago is like a third world country. A kid bled out because he wasn't allowed in the hospital. How would your gun owning community handle that?
