the way you cover things is really clear. Can you do (or have you done) a video on the initial creation of a character and it's parts in animate? I want to make sure I am creating the character with the best chance to do movements without having missed things or put in limitations.

very impressed the way you provide and converyed this instructions, because it makes it easier. I was confused with the symbol swap and frame picker, but now I know how to use it. Its actually way easier to use the frame picker overall, because I can create different object rigs and create different posed to select form frame picker inside the timeline inside the object of that rig. Which is amazing and keeps things organized. With the symbol, It makes it harder to organize since il have too many rigs and poses .

Woow awsome tut Chad, was easy to follow ! ..and had all essential details broken down. I have a question or request - could you do a VDO on how do I reuse/import a rigged character in another project ?
@Chitchadshow3 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion! The easiest way I have discovered is having the entire character model inside a Graphic or Movie Clip. You can then copy and paste that Graphic/Movie Clip into a new project file. Hope that helps!
@marceloalves00783 жыл бұрын
You can also save the entire characther animation as an asset an then use it whenever you want, just by taking it from the assets library.

@@marceloalves0078 how do you save a rigged character as an asset? I’ve had trouble with this since I’ve started
@marceloalves00782 жыл бұрын
@@ripcoops1542 create an object or a symbol they will automatically go to the librabry, then click on the librabry, find it, right click it and choose the option save as an asset. And it will now always appear on your custom assets tab.

Well I ended up connecting the different body parts through parenting as I couldn't work it out. Then making sure all symbols are graphic not movie, I was able to choose the ones I needed through the frame picker. This may also work with the bone tool method however I hadn't figured out that my symbols were movie not graphic until I'd already swapped to parenting instead of bone. Have you guys checked your symbol types? I know that you can't swap full symbols part way through the animation when it's linked up through parenting/bone but you can definitely use the frame picker.
@ripcoops15422 жыл бұрын
@@fatdragon3616 yea I’ve been trying to use bone tool with graphic symbols and I only been able to use frame picker
@fatdragon36162 жыл бұрын
@@ripcoops1542 ah that was all I needed to do so it worked for me. When I was looking into my probs, a lot of forums said you can't swap a symbol mid-animation.

Subbed! Wow, this is great! A KZbin channel that covers what I’ve been trying to do for like a year, back then there wasn’t anyone like this to what I wanted which was flash puppet animation! One question I have that I’m a little unsure about is flash puppets picking up objects. I know you said in the beginning about props having different angles but the question I have is how do you get the character to come into contact with them, to holding them so they move accordingly with the arm movement? Please correct me if I’m right, is it using the parenting system to connect with the hand layer I guess for this to work? Hope you respond and again this is great stuff you’re doing! 😁
