Look so good. Thank you for sharing. When I melt chocolate to dip things, I add a couple tablespoons of shortening to make it easier to dip and gives a nice shine to the chocolate too. Will make these this year. Hope you had a good holiday. 😊😊

Wonderful. I only know them as peanut butter balls. I am surprised that I didn’t hear of the mice cookies. Maybe it is because I grew up in the orphanage. That’s the only reason I can think of. Going to make these for Christmas. Never made them since last Christmas. It must be a Christmas thing. They look wonderful. Thank you for sharing h

Oh my Susan, so sorry to hear that, thank you so much for stopping by, and yes they are a Christmas Time cookie. The only time we called them peanut butter balls was when we shaped then into balls, but the oval shape they are called mice cookies. Have a wonderful and and enjoy to the fullest....:) Bonita

hey just thought of another reciepe for you. muddy buddies ;];];] or here they call it puppy chow;];];] dry chex cereal and take warm chocolate and stir in cereal { you could also add crush peppermint sticks/ diff imation flavors } get a zip lock frzer bag , pour in either white/ choc powdered sugar.. pour the mix in bag and shake til covered. finish by serving it in a big bowl or maybe chrismas cup cake liners;];];] also i thought of another cute name for your peanut butter mice/ balls...... peanut butter bears;];];] just cookie cut them in to a cute bear then maybe round them out;];];]

Perhaps one could add licorice whips or sliced fruit leather for tails and sliced almonds for ears . . . icky cute.
@bonitaskitchen4 жыл бұрын
right! Thats what I was thinking, I know I didn't make it to fun but you got the right idea. Kids would love them and you can have a family day making them. :) Bonita
@clairsadler59894 жыл бұрын
What could you add to make them look like mice? Ears? Tail?
@bonitaskitchen4 жыл бұрын
Yes, use candles and liquorice to make it fun and more like a mice....:) Enjoy Bonita
@pattylevasseur26454 жыл бұрын
hey bonita i know... you know this... but just thought id mention it anyways... you could have melted butter /coconut oil and then added it to your chocolate , while still warm . it would have been looser for dipping and of course it depends how much of it you add to the chocolate... for how thin/ thick you wanted it.. it would have also added a nice sheen to it also. then refrigerate to harden.;];];] i LOVE LOVE PEANUT BUTTER ANYTHING ;];];];] great and quick recipe and finger lickin good;];];] have a good wkend;];]
